Albania vs Israel – Both Teams to Score
Two sides searching for their first win in the Nations League meet at the Arena Kombètare, as Albania play host to Iceland.
Both these nations began their Nations League campaigns with a draw against Iceland, with Albania drawing 1-1 in Reykjavík, whilst Israel rescued a point at home, scoring in the final few minutes to draw 2-2.
Alon Hazan’s side only failed to score in both matches against group winners Denmark in World Cup qualifying, scoring 23 times in their eight qualifiers against Scotland, Austria, Faroe Islands and Moldova.
However, their only clean sheet came away to minnows the Faroe Islands and given Edoardo Reja hosts only failed to score against England (twice) and at home to Poland in World Cup qualifying, I’m happy to back both sides to score in Tirana.
France to Score 2+
France will look to get their Nations League campaign up and running, as they travel to Vienna to take on Austria at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion.
Despite taking the lead in both matches, Didier Deschamps’s side have collected just a solitary point from their opening two matches, losing 1-2 at home to Denmark before conceding a late penalty away to Croatia on Monday evening.
Ralf Rangnick began his stint in charge of Das Team with a 0-3 victory in Croatia but they fell defeat last time out, as they lost 1-2 at home to Denmark.
Austria conceded 15 goals in their six World Cup qualifiers against Denmark, Scotland and Israel and I reckon their leaky defence will struggle against a full-strength French side that badly need to collect all three points.
Denmark to Score 2+
Two sides who’ve made contrasting starts to their Nations League campaign meet in Copenhagen, as Denmark play host to Croatia at Parken Stadium.
Kasper Hjulmand’s side have made a perfect start to their Nations League campaign, securing back-to-back 1-2 victories away to Austria and reigning World and Nations League champions France.
Zlatko Dalić’s visitors managed to rescue a 1-1 draw at home to France last time out but prior to that were beaten 0-3 in their own backyard against Austria.
De Rød-Hvide won 9/10 of their World Cup qualifiers, including all five at home, scoring 19 times and there’s a good chance we’ll see the free-scoring Danes score at least twice against a Croatia side that tend to struggle on their travels against the higher-ranked nations.
