WITH the UK domestic season kicking off in just over 24 hours I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve – it's great to see the return of the Scottish and English Leagues.
Before then Friday nights are almost back to full capacity with just the Dutch Erste Divisie to return next weekend and we have the second round of fixtures from French Ligue 2 and I'll backing Le Havre to win against Niort who look like they are going to struggle this season.
Le Havre vs Niort (KO 7pm)
The biggest assets to any side is a goalscorer, someone who can delivery 15-20 goals a season and when you have a reliable goals scorer, replacing one is where clubs struggle.
In a tight league where goals are at a premium, Niort lost their talisman striker Dona N'Doh to Nancy in the summer and his goals are going to be massively missed.
He scored 61 goals in 4 and half seasons for Niort which is a terrific return in this league, and even with his goals, Niort struggled massively last year going on a 17 match winless run and it's not been a great start this season having gone down 2-0 at home to Troyes last Friday.
They travel to play (Rangers fans look away now) Paul Le Guen's Le Havre side who come into this off the back of a 2-2 draw at Ajaccio.
It was a terrific start for striker Tinotenda Kadewere who scored both goals and he'll be looking to repay some of the £1.3m Le Havre paid for him last summer after a season of injuries.
With Le Havre at home and Niort looking weak I'm taking the hosts to edge this

Dunfermline vs Dundee (KO 7.45pm)
East End parks see's the Scottish Championship 19/20 season kick off and its tough gam to call – The Pars scored plenty of goals in their League cup group and with Dundee finding their feet, I can see this being an entertaining game in front of a big crowd and delivering at least 2 goals.
