FA CUP FINAL day should have been May 23 but with that out the window we could have the next best thing 24 hours later.
May 24 is one that will definitely be marked in the calendar as Dinamo Brest face BATE in the Final.
BATE defeated Slavia Mozyr 2-0 in the second leg of their semi to qualify 2-1 while Brest's progress was more dramatic.
They led Shakhter Soligorsk 4-0 at half-time in their second leg but were pegged back to 4-4 and to hang on to go through on away goals.
Shakhter landed Greg's 4-5 Nap with nine corners and I predicted loads of cards in both games. There were seven yellows in the first tie and six at BATE but bookies are expecting these numbers now.
Well done to all the winners on Wednesday including Maddison with his virtual tennis fourfold.
Andy Murray was among them and watching some of his match he treats it as seriously as he did when actually on court. He's blown away his rivals and must be favourite now to go all the way.

Whilst the referees appear to be dishng cards out right left and centre would you agree Greg and Mr F that the standarfd of tackling is at best poor and some the late Norman HUnter would have been proud of leaving at times the referee with no option but to show a card.
Referee is a busy man only rivalled by the trainer who appears to have to come om every time a player goes down.

Wozniacki had an easy quarter beating Konta 6-0 and has had some less challenging matches whilst Bertens was pushed to a 6-4 win in a much tighter match.

Both won by tie break last round.
Again Close either way. Both have mentioned how much they have been practising playing the game. I said after day one that Sorana Cirstea all looked most impressive and potential winner in as much as she gets the game and right buttons to press.
Ferro to has shown some outstanding ability. But with Cirstea also playing the charity tournament I’ll have her for the win as she has had much practice.
Women’s
Outright winner I’ll take Wozniacki at 5/2
I’m basing it on all 4 out rights but Wozniacki has been playing with Andy Murray in some practicing both before and during tournament . Mentioned in her pre and post matche interviews.
I can also say Scandinavians are pretty decent gamers and I ll take her to win the ladies.
Mens:
In the men’s tournament all the semi finalist are unbeaten. For me 3 have looked impressive and capable winners. No one more so in Andy Murray who is now 10/11 fave and I backed him pre tournament at 18/1.

Now I had (8/1)Tsitsipas, Zverev (12/1)and Murray (18/1 )as the 3 likely contenders as all 3 were known gamers.
Murray dispatched of Zverev comfortably in the quarters.
Tsitsipas was favourite throughout and has looked very strong but David Goffin has caught the eye.
Undefeated in the tournament , I tipped him at 11/10 to beat the 4/6 Benoit Paire yesterday which he did stylish in 6-0. Getting the bagel
I couldn’t actually call that semi as have been impressed with Goffin though he’s played some less challenging matches . He was 14/1 at quarter final stage .
Of course all matches should be available in play for betting however giving my final thoughts on what has been an enjoyable tennis (eSports) tournament.

Now the etennis Men’s semi with Andy Murray was an absolute farce because due to technical band connection issues there were far too many problems .
Including resetting match
And that 2 bounces of ball were being made and shots being allowed to play.
Andy Murray was frustrated.
Schwartzman won but only because of the lag
Even Diego Schwartzman said he didn’t deserve to win. And said he will forfeit the match and the connection is better in Europe as Schwartzman is in South America he has said Andy Murray is better and he can play the final.
