THERE have been plenty of hits and misses on the more obscure leagues we find ourselves betting on.

Belarus have probably been the most popular league on the site with just a handful of football matches taking place across the globe each night.

So I was cheered when Ladbrokes sent me an email about an Irish customer who correctly backed six odds-against shots across in, Burundi and Nicaragua at a combined 4266-1.

The acca looked dead when Slutsk went behind away to Isloch in Belarus but two goals in the 61st and 75th minutes ensured the comeback was complete and the sixfold la whopping €2,133.88 from just a €0.50 stake.

The bet in full:
Vitebsk to beat Smolevichi – 19-10
Slutsk to beat Isloch – 4-1
Olympic S to beat Lydia Ludic – 11-4
Dynamik to beat Aigle Noir – 5-2
Chinandaga to beat Jalapa – 19-4
Walter Ferretti to beat Esteli – 29-110

It was a cracking success using the smallest of stakes and the punter certainly had the luck if the Irish.

The first day of action at the Icons of Darts Live League saw Dutchman Wessel Nijman win Group One with some superb throws.

He hammered tournament favourite Raymond van Barneveld 5-1 in his opener and it proved a miserable day for the Dutchman with four defeats.

The action continues on Tuesday with players in action from their homes.

On the football front I don't see anything to bet on but there are signs we'll be getting some proper action early June with Austria the latest to put a timetable on a return.

German Bundesliga players have returned to group training and Denmark are easing lockdown restrictions.

And if you get a moment have a look at Greg's post and answer his three questions.

Where does it say Austrian football will resume Mr F?

    • Mr Fixit 4 years ago

I don’t say anything about when Austrian football will resume – what I say is Austria have put out a timetable for a return.
Austria and Denmark both believe they’ve peaked and are planning to lift restrictions in stages. In Austria small shops will reopen on April 14, with larger stores to follow on May 1. Restaurants, hotels and schools could open mid-May and football matches with crowds in July so could play earlier behind closed doors or small crowds.

If there shops have been shut how have they been eating?

    • Mr Fixit 4 years ago

I think you know what that means – non-food shops.

I have read a lot recently that when football returns there will be reduced attendances for example Celtic park 60,000 down to 30,000 due to social distancing so how could players play match if they are to kept 2metres apart? Can’t be one rule for fans & different for players😕

    • Mr Fixit 4 years ago

You know that can’t happen. The players will have to be involved in discussions as to how football returns and under what conditions. I’m sure they’ll all be tested and tested regularly.

Evans to beat Nicholson at the darts 4/5. Starts in 5 mins

Evans has been on decent form from what I’ve seen.

Aye Paul came back to beat Barney from 4-2 down to win 5-4

    • Mr Fixit 4 years ago

I think it’s 8 defeats out of 8 Barney – and he was tournament favourite.

Nicholson was as short as 1/7 at one point inplay aswell, crazy the price changes in darts in seconds

I think when the Chinese super league resumes we might get a clearer picture of when European football begins. I don’t think returning to training hints that football could be back in June sadly. I’d be surprised if there’s European action until September

    • Mr Fixit 4 years ago

I’m pretty sure we’ll some leagues back in June, possibly behind closed doors.
Too much at stake for UEFA and some clubs.

    Evening gents,

Back on the table tennis and looking for a 7th win on the bounce!

    Kutuzov O. VS. Nemashkalo V. (9.00pm)

I still think the point lines are fairly generous; pick out a match with more even ability players and automatically you increase the chance of more games per match therefore more accumulated points.

Nemashkalo has beaten the given line tonight in 5 of his last 7 games with the only 2 not latching being the ones he won 3-0 and 3-0.

Bookies have this one a tighter price so certainly a chance it won’t be a whitewash affair and the tighter the game the better for me:

    Nemashkalo Over 38.5 points
    (5/6, bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

    Best of luck!

      Best of luck.

Cheers Mr F but the old bugger won 0-3 with a points total of 33 😂

Some player but pissed on my 7/7 bonfire!
