The Coppa Italia Final didn't offer much more excitement with Napoli emerging eventual winners following a penalty shoot-out after a 0-0 draw.
It was a different story in Germany where Mainz stunned Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in their battle to beat the drop while RB Leipzig contrived to throw away another two points at home.
