THE Betfred Cup was kinder to me than the likes of Kilmarnock and Forfar who couldn't field teams.
I wasn't too confident about my predictions with most teams playing for the first time in seven months but both bets won.
My Top Treble became an evens double after the Dundee vs Forfar game was called off although I commented late on anyone not yet on could add Hamilton -1 instead and of course they lost.
Edinburgh City's consolation when they were 5-0 down to Livingston landed my 9-2 both to score treble so I was happy with that.
It was a night of goals all round with plenty in the National League and EFL Cup so well done to all the winners.
And just to reiterate bets on games where teams are awarded 3-0 wins are void – that's only fair to people who would have had losing wagers.
Latest to fall victim is Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard who has tested positive on duty with France Under-21s according to reports. If that's the case he'll almost certainly miss the Old Firm derby when action resumes.
It's a similar card on Wednesday with six more Betfred Cup ties including Hibs vs Brora, Kelty Rangers vs St Johnstone and St Mirren vs Partick Thistle.
Barry Ferguson's Kelty are quite a useful outfit who'd probably be in League Two if last season had ended and it will be interesting to see how hard they can push a struggling Saints side.
Hibs boss Jack Ross says he'll make wholesale changes against the Highland League champions who'll also feel they should have been playing in League Two but were denied a play-off.
I'm giving a lot of respect to Lowland League Kelty and Brora by going for a both to score double on their games. Low stakes please.
Notts County vs Altrincham is the only National League game and there's not much else to look at apart from international friendlies that I'm not touching.
They include Portugal vs Spain, Germany vs Turkey and Italy vs Moldova and team news is key for all of them.
One of those games is Scotland vs Israel in the Euro 2020 play-offs and Kevin Mac has predictions and a match preview. He will of course have to make amendments after today's news that Stuart Armstrong has tested positive and Kieran Tierney and Ryan Christie will have to self-isolate. Scott McKenna, Liam Palmer and Oli Burke have been ruled out through injury.
