THERE'S a huge night ahead in the Championship on Wednesday as the campaign reaches an exciting / nervy climax.
With Leeds already crowned champions the burning issue is who will be joining them via automatic promotion to the Premier League next season? West Brom looked like they had conspired to throw away the intiative with a 3-match winless run in which they picked up just two points but Brentford were unable to capitalise on the opportunity presented to them by losing at Stoke.
So it's the Baggies who go in to the final round of fixtures one point ahead in second place. They host QPR at the The Hawthorns and as long as they take care of their own business then they shouldn't concern themselves with what's going on at Griffin Park where Brentford take on second-bottom Barnsley who's fate is out of their own hands.
The Tykes are one of seven teams who could still mathematically go down so things could get very interesting at the foot of them table.
In the Premier League Chelsea can secure a Champions League place with a win at Anfield. If not they'll have a chance to ensure they finish no worse than fourth in their final match, at home to Wolves on Sunday.
