Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the French Ligue 1, and there’s one side that appeals to me to score two goals against their struggling opponents.

Toulouse will look to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle as they travel to the Stade Raymond Kopa to take on rock-bottom Angers.
Angers winless run in Ligue 1 was extended to 18 matches last time out, as they were thrashed by fellow strugglers Montpellier. Manager-less Angers also boast the worst home record in the French top flight, collecting just five points from a possible 39 (W1-D2-L10).
Toulouse’s poor run of form continued last time out, as they were beaten 0-1 by fellow midtable side Clermont. Philippe Montanier’s visitors boast the fourth-worst away record in the French top-flight, collecting just 10 points from a possible 36 (W3-D1-L8).

Toulouse has been a side I’ve been impressed with since their promotion to the French top flight, but there is no getting away from the fact that their performances at home are far better than they are at home.
Toulouse has a record of W5-D2-L0 when coming up against sides currently positioned in 15th and below – including winning all three away. What’s more, Les Violets have scored 22 goals across those fixtures – bagging on multiple occasions in six of those – and I’m backing them to bag another double against an Angers defence that has shipped multiple goals in 19/26 (73%) of their Ligue 1 fixtures this season.
