Football Bet of the Day: Swedish Strikes Appeals on Friday

Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Swedish second tier, and one of the two fixtures appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs separated by only two places and two points in the Swedish Superettan table meet at the Domnarvsvallen tomorrow evening as 10th-placed Brage plays host to 8th-placed Örebro in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Brage have scored 24 goals across their opening 22 matches in the Superettan this term, with 18 (75%) of them coming on home soil. Klebér Saarenpää’s hosts have found the back of the net in 10/11 (91%) of their league outings in front of their supporters – scoring two or more in five of their previous nine – and they will be confident of breaching an Örebro defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet across their last nine road trips, shipping multiple strikes in seven (78%) of them.

Örebro have scored 29 goals across their opening 22 Superettan fixtures this campaign, with 13 (45%) of them coming on their travels. Christian Järdler’s visitors have made the net bulge in seven of their previous eight away days in the league – striking on multiple occasions in five (63%) of them – and they will look to breach a Brage defence that has recorded a solitary clean sheet across their previous eight league contests on home soil.
