Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me travel to South America and there’s a match in the Peruvian top-flight that I like the possibility of goals in.

UTC vs Deportivo Binacional

🇵🇪 Liga 1

⏰ Tuesday 31st May, 21:00

Two sides at opposite ends of the Liga 1 table meet at the Estadio Héroes de San Ramón, as UTC host Deportivo Binacional. The hosts are currently positioned in 15th, just five points above bottom side Academia Cantolao, whilst the visitors are seventh, only three points off second-placed Alianza Atlético.

After coming from two goals down, UTC then conceded in stoppage-time to lose 3-2 away to Cienciano last time out. Franco Navarro’s side have lost just one of their opening seven league fixtures in-front of their own supporters (W4-D2-L1) and come into this winning each of their last two. The Cajamarca-based side have found the back of the net in each of their last five matches at home, scoring an eye-catching 15 goals. El Gavilán Norteño have recorded just one clean sheet in their opening 14 league fixtures this season and only three sides have conceded more goals than the 28 UTC have conceded, with half of them coming in their last six matches.

Deportivo Binacional put an end to their two-match losing streak last time out, as they scored a stoppage-time winner to defeat third-placed Sport Huancayo 1-0. Wilmar Valencia’s side have lost each of their last two on their travels, but prior to those defeats, they had won three on the bounce. Binacional have found the back of the net in six of their seven matches again bottom-half sides, scoring 15 times. El poderoso del sur have kept four clean sheets in the league so far this season, however, just one of those have came in their six matches on their travels.

Bet of the Day

UTC have been great for goal-backers so far this season and I’m expecting more goals when they play host to Deportivo Binacional on Tuesday evening. The hosts have found the back of the net 15 times in their last five matches on home turf and I expect them to add to that tally against a Binacional side that’s kept just one clean sheet on their travels so far this term. However, Franco Navarro’s hosts have recorded just a solitary clean sheet from their opening 14 league matches, possessing the league’s fourth-worst defence and I can’t see them keeping out their visiting opponents who’ve struck 15 times in their seven matches against bottom-half sides. Remarkably, there’s been 26 goals in UTC’s last five games at home, therefore, I’m happy to back over 2.5 goals with both sides getting on the scoresheet in Cajamarca on Tuesday evening.
