Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the full French Ligue 1 card, and there’s one fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Marseille will look to maintain their place inside the Champions League places as they travel to the Stade de l'Aube to take on mid-table Troyes.
Troyes recorded their first win in nine matches in Ligue 1 last time out, as they won 2-3 at second-bottom Strasbourg to move them five points clear of the relegation zone. Patrick Kisnorbo’s men have found the back of the net in 14/17 of their league fixtures this season and are the sixth-highest-scoring side with 29 goals. However, ESTAC have registered just a solitary shutout in the league this season, whilst only Angers (37) and Auxerre (35) have conceded more than their tally of 33.
Marseille recorded their fourth successive victory in Ligue 1 last time out with a 1-2 success away at mid-table Montpellier. Only the two sides above Marseille in the table, PSG and Lens, have stopped them from scoring this season, with Igor Tudor's men also boasting the joint-second-best attack, scoring on 34 occasions. Les Olympiens have registered five clean sheets in Ligue 1 this season, but just one of those has come in their previous eight league outings.
Bet of the Day
Troyes and Marseille have been amongst the goals this season, with the pair scoring 63 goals between them. Given they have found the back of the net in 29/34 of their combined Ligue 1 fixtures this season and their lack of clean sheets in recent times, there’s every chance we’ll see both of these teams get on the scoresheet once more.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in a joint-league high 12/17 (71%) of Troyes Ligue 1 fixtures this season, and given there have been three or more strikes in five of Marseille’s previous seven away, there’s a decent chance we’ll see at least another three in Champagne country on Wednesday evening with both teams contributing.
