After successfully backing goals in the first leg last week, Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on Hibernian’s second leg Conference League qualifier with Luzern – and once again, I’m expecting more goals.

Hibs will look to follow in the footsteps of Rangers last night and knock out Swiss opposition in Europe as they travel to the Swissporarena to take on Luzern, with both teams fighting to set up a glamour tie with Aston Villa in the next round.
After a pretty drab first half in the first leg last week, Joe Newell’s stunning strike right at the start of the second half was cancelled out just 10 minutes later as Hibs’ defensive issues were on show once again. However, Lee Johnson’s men regained the lead in the 72nd minute to land Last Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day before Jordan Obita struck in stoppage time to give The Hibees a potentially crucial two-goal advantage.
Mario Frick’s hosts have found the back of the net in each of their last six Swiss Super League and Conference League qualifying matches – and given their need to score at least twice here – they should be more than capable of at least getting on the scoresheet at least once against a Hibernian defence that’s without a clean sheet and have conceded nine goals across their opening five competitive matches.
However, Lee Johnson’s visitors have gotten on the scoresheet in all five of their competitive fixtures this season, scoring on 13 occasions – and are certainly more than capable of breaching a Luzern defence without a clean sheet in each of their previous six matches.

Hibs’ fixtures have proven to be goal-laden so far this season, with there being an eye-catching 22 goals scored across their opening five Scottish Premiership and Conference League qualifying matches, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in each – and given four of Luzern’s previous six competitive fixtures have produced three or more goals – once again I’m happy to have a punt on these two sides breaking the Over 2.5 Goals barrier.

Completely agree with you here Greg, considering all the data from Hibs alone this year you would expect this to be shorter than the 4/5 available.
Looks the best angle to be had in this game, slightly shorter odds Lucerne at 8/11 to score over 1.5 looked a solid selection as well.
