Football Bet of the Day: Head to the North of Norway for Goals on Sunday

Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Norwegian top flight, and there’s one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

Two clubs who have made impressive starts to their campaigns in the Eliteserien this season meet at the Romssa Arena on Sunday afternoon as 4th-placed Tromsø entertain 8th-placed Stabæk in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

Gaute Helstrup’s hosts have scored 14 goals in the Eliteserien this term, with 11 of those coming across their previous five matches. The Gutan have found the back of the net in 8/10 (80%) of their league matches this season – striking two or more in each of their last five – and will look to breach a Stabæk defence that has shipped 13 goals across their opening four league matches on their travels.

Lars Bohinen’s visitors have also scored 14 goals in the Norwegian top flight this campaign, with five of those coming across their previous three road trips. De Blaa have struck in each of their last eight Eliteserien fixtures – scoring on multiple occasions in four (50%) of them – and will look to trouble a Tromsø defence without a clean sheet in each of their previous six Eliteserien fixtures.
