Football Bet of the Day: Head to Ireland for Goals at Both Ends on Friday Night

Looking to make it four winners on the bounce, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Irish top flight, and one of the fixtures in particular appeals to me for goals at both ends.

Dundalk will look to keep their European qualification hopes alive as they welcome 7th-placed Sligo Rovers to Oriel Park tomorrow evening in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

Stephen O'Donnell’s hosts have scored 39 goals across their opening 26 Irish Premier Division fixtures this term, with 26 (67%) of them coming in front of their supporters. The Railwaymen have found the back of the net in all bar one of their 13 league tussles in front of their supporters – scoring on multiple occasions in eight (62%) of them – and they will be confident of breaching a Sligo defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet from their 13 road trips this term, conceding on 19 occasions.

Sligo have scored 30 goals across their opening 26 matches in the Irish top flight this campaign, with 14 (47%) of them coming on their travels. John Russell’s visitors have found the back of the net in 10/13 (77%) of their league outings on the road – including in each of their previous four – and they will look to breach a Dundalk defence that has registered just two clean sheets in front of their supporters in the league this season, conceding on 18 occasions.
