Football Bet of the Day: Goals Galore in Germany on Friday Night

Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the big match in the German Bundesliga, and I’ve come up with a Bet Builder featuring goals and cards.

Borussia Dortmund will look to go three points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table as they welcome a RB Leipzig side to Signal Iduna Park that sits just four points behind them.

Borussia Dortmund made it seven wins from seven in the Bundesliga since the turn of the year, as they won 0-1 away at struggling Hoffenheim in a match they should’ve scored far more. Edin Terzić’s hosts head into this fixture having won seven of their previous eight Bundesliga fixtures as hosts, only dropping points in a 2-2 draw against reigning champions Bayern Munich in that run. Die Schwarzgelben have found the back of the net in all 10 of their Bundesliga fixtures as hosts, scoring on multiple occasions in each of their previous six.

RB Leipzig followed up their impressive 0-3 victory away at Wolfsburg by defeating sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at home. After failing to win any of their opening six Bundesliga fixtures on their travels this season, Marco Rose’s side has gone on to win four and draw one of their next five away league outings. Die Roten Bullen have found the back of the net in 19/22 of their Bundesliga fixtures and are the joint-second-highest scoring side in the division, netting on 45 occasions.

Bet of the Day

These two clubs are the joint-second-highest scorers in the Bundesliga – each scoring 45 times – and it’s hard not to envisage goals in this one. Over 2.5 goals has landed in a joint league-high 16/22 (73%) of RB Leipzig’s Bundesliga fixtures, and given the same has banked in each of Dortmund’s previous six at home, I reckon we’ll see at least three more here.
