Euro 2024 Bet of the day

Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Korean top flight, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals and cards.

⚽️ Jeju United vs Gwangju FC

🇰🇷 K League 1

⏰ Tuesday 11th July, 11:30

Two clubs separated only by goal difference in the K League 1 table meet at the Jeju World Cup Stadium on Tuesday morning as 8th-placed Jeju plays host to 7th-placed Gwangju.

Jeju are the joint-fourth highest scorers in the Korean top flight this term, scoring 29 goals across their opening 21 matches, with 12 (41%) of those coming on home soil. Nam Ki-il’s hosts have found the back of the net in 17/21 (81%) of their K League 1 fixtures – including in eight of their last nine at home – and should be capable of troubling a Gwangju defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet across their previous nine league road trips, conceding on 15 occasions.

Gwangju have scored 27 goals across their opening 21 matches in K League 1 this campaign, with 12 (44%) of them coming on their travels. Lee Jung-hyo’s visitors have scored in 8/10 (80%) of their away league matches – including in each of their previous seven – and will look to trouble a Jeju defence that’s without a clean sheet across their last eight League 1 matches and just one across their previous nine at home.

Bet of the Day

Both Teams to Score has banked in seven of Jeju’s previous nine K League 1 fixtures in front of their supporters – and given both have obliged in six of Gwangju’s last seven on the road – I’m happy to have a punt on these two finding the target in this one.

To nudge up the price, I’m happy to throw in the visitors to collect a card. Gwangju have been shown a card in all 21 of their K League 1 fixtures this term –  earning multiple cards in 15 (71%) of them – whilst 17/21 (81%) of Jeju’s opponents have received a card.
