Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the big match in Serie A, and I’m expecting an entertaining affair.

In what is no doubt ‘Game of the Day’ in Italy, fifth-placed Inter welcomes runaway league leaders Napoli to the San Siro in what promises to be an entertaining affair.
Inter headed into the World Cup break in great form, with their 2-3 victory away at Atalanta last time out making it six wins from their previous seven, leaving them just three points off city-rivals Milan in second. Simone Inzaghi’s side are the second-highest-scoring side in Serie A, scoring 34 goals this season, with 19 of those coming in their seven home fixtures. However, the Nerazzurri have managed just four clean sheets in the league this season, with three of those coming against bottom-half sides.
Napoli headed into the World Cup break in absolutely scintillating form, with their 3-2 win over Udinese making it 11 successive wins in Serie A. Napoli are the top-scoring side in Serie A this season, with the Partenopei scoring 37 goals across their opening 15 league matches. Luciano Spalletti’s side have registered six clean sheets in the league this season, with just two of those coming on their travels.
Bet of the Day
This is a meeting between the top two scoring sides in Serie A this season and it’s hard not to envisage goals here. The pair have found the back of the net in all bar one of their respective league outings this season and I expect both to get on the scoresheet once more here.
Collectively, Over 2.5 goals has landed in 22/30 (73%) of the pair’s Serie A fixtures this season and given the attacking quality both sides possess, I reckon we’ll see at least three strikes with both teams getting on the scoresheet.
