Fridays Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the Dutch Eerste Divisie. I’ve picked out one side in particular who I like the look of at an odds against price.

Den Bosch vs Top Oss

🇳🇱 Eerste Divisie

⏰ Friday 19th November, 19:00

Two sides in contrasting form meet at the Stadion De Vliert as Den Bosch host Top Oss. The hosts are currently occupy the final playoff spot in 8th, whereas the hosts are currently in 19th, with only Dordrecht sitting below them in the table.

Den Bosch secured only their second away win last time out as they defeated MVV 0-1. That extended their unbeaten run in the league to five, with them winning four of them. Den Bosch have now won each of their last three home games, including a win over third placed De Graafschap. Overall, Den Bosch have won five and lost three of their eight home fixtures, with two of their defeats coming against sides above them in the league.

Oss drew 0-0 at home to fellow struggles Helmond Sport last time out, making it back to back draws in the Eerste Divisie. That goalless draw last time out was their first clean sheet in 11 matches and only their third all season. Prior to those back to back draws, Oss had lost seven matches in a row, conceding 17 goals. After winning three of their first four matches of the season, Oss have failed to win since, a run of 11 matches. Oss are amongst the lowest scorers on the road, scoring just five goals in their seven away matches. Oss have conceded in their last six away matches, conceding on multiple occasions in each of their last five.

Bet of the Day

Den Bosch come into this on a good run of form, with them unbeaten in their last five matches, winning four. They’ve also won each of their last three home matches and will fancy their chances of extending that when a struggling Oss come to visit. Oss are on a poor run of form with them winless in their last 11 matches, losing eight. Oss also have a poor record at this stadium, failing to win any of their last six matches away to Den Bosch, losing five. Due to both sides contrasting run of form in the league and the recent history in this fixture, I’m happy to back Den Bosch to win at a nice odds against price.

I’ve been looking about for news at lunch time and the only thing I saw was it was being played behind closed doors, was thinking maybe covid related but not saw anything mentioning that.

All games in the Netherlands are indeed without fans because of Covid.
