Today’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on two sides who play in green and white and who should record comfortably home victories.

Celtic vs St Mirren

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Premiership

⏰ Saturday 21st August, 15:00

St Mirren travel to Celtic Park to take on Celtic on Saturday afternoon. Celtic will look to continue their good form, whereas St Mirren will look to repeat their win here on their last visit to Celtic Park.

Celtic continued their good form with an impressive 2-0 win over Dutch side AZ on Wednesday evening. That’s now five wins in a row for Celtic in all competitions. Four of those wins have all came at home, with the Glasgow side scoring 14 goals. Celtic are now unbeaten in their last 13 competitive home games, winning 11 of them.

St Mirren come into this after getting knocked out of the League Cup by Livingston on penalties. That’s now two defeats in a row for the Paisley side lost 1-2 at home to Hearts in the league. Last seasons shock win at Celtic Park was St Mirren’s first win at Celtic Park, losing 19 of their previous 20 visits.

Sporting Lisbon vs Belenenses

🇵🇹 Liga NOS

⏰ Saturday 21st August, 20:30

Champions Sporting Lisbon host Belenenses at the Estádio José Alvalade on Saturday evening. Sporting have a 100% record so far this season, meanwhile Belenenses have lost all their matches.

Sporting come into this off the back of an impressive 1-2 victory away to Braga. After defeating the same opponents in the Super Cup, Lisbon have recorded back to back wins in the league scoring 5 goals. Sporting were unbeaten at home last season, winning 13 of their 17 league games at the José Alvalade. Lisbon averaged 2 goals per game at home with only Porto scoring more.

Belenenses have had a poor start to their campaign losing all three of their matches. After a 1-0 defeat in the cup to 2nd tier CD Mafra, Belenenses lost 2-0 away to last years runners up Porto before a disappointing 1-2 defeat at home to Marítimo. No side scored fewer goals on their travels last season than Belenenses who only managed 10.

Bet of the Day

Celtic should keep up their impressive form by comfortably defeating St Mirren in front of an all Celtic home crowd. Sporting should keep up their impressive start to the campaign by comfortably defeating a Belenenses side who have started the season off poorly losing all three of their matches.

  • Celtic to win & over 1.5 goals
  • Sporting Lisbon & over 1.5 goals

Yeah was the same on Thursday, Feyenoord in particular going from 4/9 to 1/5.
Anything even money or above is still backable in my opinion 👍🏼

I think it’s just punters throwing a lot of money in the morning of the game hence the price shifts
