Bohemians will look to go within two points of league leaders Shamrock Rovers in the Irish Premier Division on Friday night as they play host to 8th-placed Drogheda United at Dalymount Park.
Bohemians stretched their unbeaten record at home to five matches last time out, as they scored twice in the final quarter of an hour to defeat basement boys UCD 2-0. Declan Devine’s hosts boast the division’s third-best home record, collecting 23 points from a possible 36 (W7-D2-L3), with that record changing to W7-D1-L0) when welcoming clubs currently positioned in 5th and below.
Drogheda United stretched their unbeaten run in the Irish Premier Division to four matches last time out, as they came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to the side directly above them in the table, Sligo Rovers. The Drogs have actually collected more points on their travels (16) than at home (13), however, half of those points they picked up on the road have come against the bottom two in the table.

Bohemians are the fourth-highest scorers in the Irish top flight, scoring 37 goals across their opening 25 matches, with 23 (62%) of those coming on home soil. Bohs have struck at least twice in 9/12 (75%) of their home league fixtures – including in 7/8 (88%) when hosting sides below their current 4th position in the table – and I’m backing them to bag a brace against a Drogheda defence without a clean sheet in each of their previous seven road trips, conceding on 13 occasions.
