Football Bet of the Day: Back Both to Score at the Bentegodi

Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the opening fixture of Round 31 in Serie A, and I fancy both side’s to get on the scoresheet.

Hellas Verona will look to climb outside of the relegation zone tomorrow evening as they welcome European-chasing Bologna to the Bentegodi in a match that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

Hellas have scored just 24 goals in Serie A this term, but 17 of those have come across their 15 fixtures in front of their supporters. Marco Zaffaroni’s hosts have found the back of the net in 12 of those tussle’s in front of their supporters – only failing to score against Atalanta (6th), Juventus (7th) and Fiorentina (9th) – and I’m backing them to get on the scoresheet against a Bologna defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet on their travels this campaign.

Thiago Motta’s visitors have scored 39 goals in the Italian top-flight this term, with 18 of those coming away from home. The Rossoblù have struck in 10/14 of their away fixtures this season – failing to score at Roma (3rd), Milan (4th), Juventus (7th) and Torino (11th) – scoring on multiple occasions in five of their last six, and I fancy them to also get on the scoresheet against a Hellas defence who’s three clean sheets at home this season have came against teams positioned in 15th and below.

Both Teams to Score has banked in 9/14 (64%) of Bologna’s Serie A fixtures on the road this season – and given the same has landed in 9/15 of the Gialloblu’s home contests – I’m happy to have a punt on these two sides getting on the scoresheet at the Bentegodi tomorrow evening.
