THERE are a few short-priced favourites out there this weekend and the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Celtic, Rangers and Man Utd will feature heavily on accumulators.
I shy away from teams at such low odds but was tempted to throw in a Scottish Cup treble of Hibs v Raith, St Johnstone at Forfar and Inverness at Stranraer.
Picking a shock isn't easy in the fifth round but a treble on these three Premiership favourites pays just 2-1.
I want a slightly bigger line so I'm starting with Hibs and adding two at bigger prices. Hibs have generally been solid under Terry Butcher and should take care of a Raith side who haven't scored in five matches in the Championship.
They are also without injured top scorer Callum Elliot and that's a huge worry against a side keen to end a run of three losses after a good start under the former England skipper.
Next take a Berwick side totally transformed under Colin Cameron. The former Cowdenbeath boss has seen his men net 10 goals in his first three matches – two thumping wins and a 3-3 draw at Clyde last week.
Berwick have beaten basement boys Queen's Park 4-0 twice this season and should add a third victory.
Complete the treble with Burnley at home to Millwall in the Championship. Burnley continue to fight for second place and last week drew 3-3 in a cracker with QPR at Loftus Road.
At home they remain unbeaten with eight wins and six draws and should be good enough to see off the Lions who have won only one of their last six. They have won at Turf Moor in the last three seasons but the sides' respective fortunes have been reversed this season so that stat doesn't concern me.
My treble pays 3-1 but I'm waiting to see if Betway enhance the odds.
