IT’S a busy midweek in the Irn-Bru Scottish Football Leagues – and once again we have been doing our homework in the hunt for a winning lower-league treble.
There are 10 SFL matches being played over the next couple of days giving punters the perfect chance to give the bookies a bashing.
We kick off in the Irn-Bru First Division as leaders Ross County look to take a crucial step towards winning the title by defeating Morton at Victoria Park.
County go into this one in pole position, three points ahead of second-placed Falkirk with two games in hand.
They are 11 points ahead of the Cappielow men but their title bid slipped up slightly at the weekend as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Ayr.
County have won five of the last seven clashes with Ton with the other two games finishing as draws.
I am taking County to keep up their good record over the Greenock mn and am tipping a win for the Dingwall troops at 4-6 (various).
Next up we focus on Second Division leaders’ Cowdenbeath’s trip to face bottom-of-the-table Stirling.
The Blue Brazil go into this one a massive 29 points ahead of Albion and will fancy their chances against a side they have defeated in the last two meetings between the clubs.
And you also have to take into account the fact Stirling’s confidence will be at rock bottom as they head into this match without a win in their last six games. Go for an away win for Cowden at 4-7 with Stan James, Ladbrokes and Coral.
We finish up in the Irn-Bru Second Division and Arbroath’s home tie with Forfar tomorrow night.
The Gayfield men are in serious contention for the title as they sit in second place only four points behind leaders Cowdenbeath.
In contrast Forfar are 22 points behind and are without a win in their last four games. Go for an Arbroath win at 4-6 with BetVictor.
