THANK God it’s the weekend and another chance for punters to cash in and have the bookies crying into their pints.

On paper it looks a difficult week for tipping in the Scottish Football Leagues – but that hasn’t stopped us doing our homework in the hunt for a winning treble.

We kick off in the Irn-Bru Second Division and focus on Dumbarton’s home clash with Albion Rovers.

The Sons have won four of their last five matches, drawing the other, and as a result have climbed up to third spot in the table.

On the other hand Rovers have lost five of their last six games and go into this one 10 points behind this weekend’s hosts.

Dumbarton have been victorious in six of the last seven meetings between the clubs with the other game finishing in a 1-1 draw.

For that reason I am taking Dumbarton as the first side in my SFL treble at 8-11 with William Hill.

We stay in the Second Division and turn our attention to Airdrie’s home clash with Stenhousemuir.

The Diamonds go into this weekend’s match three points behindinjury-hit Stenny and would love to earn the win that would send them level with their rivals.

Airdrie thrashed Stenny 5-2 in the last meeting between the sides and after winning six of the last seven battles against the Warriors it looks like another Diamonds win could be on the cards.

Take Airdrie to triumph at 11-10, widely available with companies such as bet365, totesport, Coral and Paddy Power.

We finish up in the Third Division and look in on Stranraer’s home clash with Clyde.

Stranraer’s dream of winning automatic promotion to the Second Division looks to be over after a run of disappointing results saw them fall eight points behind league leaders Alloa.

But they will still be desperate to earn a place in the end-of-season play-offs and a win against a Bully Wee side who are 18 points behind them in the table could help them achieve that.

Keith Knox’s Blues have won two of the last three clashes with Clyde and I am taking them to be victorious once again at 4-7 with BetVictor, Paddy Power, Coral and William Hill.

For those of you looking for a bigger-priced selection from the Third Division consider the 7-5 on offer from sportingbet and William Hill on Alloa winning at Elgin.

Elgin were sensational on Tuesday night as they thrashed Peterhead 6-1 but Alloa boss Paul Hartley made the long trip north to watch them. He'll hope his homework pays off and that his men defend better than the Blue Toon.
