READING have given Man United some problems in the past couple of seasons – with their 4-3 home defeat (all the goals came in the first half) one of the most memorable games in the Premier League this season.

But I can't see the Royals making it tough for Sir Alex Ferguson's men when the sides meet in the FA Cup tonight.

United are no bigger than 1-4 with the likes of Paddy Power and BetVictor while Reading are 12-1 at BetVictor and Ladbrokes – and the prices reflect the importance of the tie to away boss Brian McDermott.

Reading's focus is on survival and they will rest players despite the carrot of a potential last-eight tie at home to Chelsea.

While United will also rotate players it means starts for the likes of Nani, Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez who has been in good form despite living in the shadow of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

Consider Hernandez to score first at 4-1 with bet365 and Ladbrokes and look at United to win minus two at 6-4 with Ladbrokes and bet365 as minus one is still short.

In Serie, Lazio travel to Siena boosted by the failure of any of the other top-four sides to win.

But as far as a title challenge is concerned the Romans are 11 points behind Juventus and that looks to much of a gap to make up.

For Lazio the focus must be on clinching a Champions League slot but after just one win in six games they are no bankers at Siena who have a decent home record and sit second bottom courtesy of a six-point deduction.

Lazio have failed to win on their last five visits to Siena, losing two and drawing 1-1 twice. They also drew 1-1 in Rome this season and it could be another stalemate tonight. A draw pays a best 9-4 at Stan James and Coral.

Top scorer Miroslav Klose is still injured but in his absence Sergio Floccari has stepped up to the plate with four goals in five games. He is 23-10 at Paddy Power to score.

It's fifth v fourth in Portugal as Rio Ave entertain Braga. Rio have a poor home record with just two wins from nine but sit just two points adrift of Braga having won six times on the road.

Braga have just one of their last four and have drawn 3-3 at Beira Mar and lost 3-2 at Nacional. This suggests both teams will score in this one with Rio's last four bringing up this market.

Both to score pays 8-11 at Stan James and another draw, 5-2 at BetVictor, is likely with Braga failing to win at Rio on their last four trips.

We've focused quite a bit on this site on both teams to score in the Eerste Division, the Dutch second tier. It seems on average about 70 per cent of matches bring up both to score, so about five out of seven matches.

That's a good average and I've picked out a treble from tonight's six games. FC Eindhoven's last six have been btts with a total of 28 goals so start with their match at Cambuur who have the 5/7 average.

Next look at Dordrecht v Den Bosch which has been 4-2 and 4-3 in the last two meetings. Dordrecht have lost 4-2 twice and 4-3 once in their last six games so what chance another 4-2 or 4-3?

Next look at Helmond who have won their last two matches 4-3 and 4-2 and face De Graafschap who have seen both score in five of their last six.

Recommendations

Man United -2 (8pm)
(6-4, Paddy Power, bet365)

Siena draw no bet (7.45pm)
(4-5, Stan James)

Both teams to score treble (all 7pm)

Cambuur v FC Eindhoven

Dordrecht v Den Bosch

Helmond v De Graafschap

Pays £38.90 to a £10 stake at Stan James

Craig, looked at it and left it alone. If there’s a winner it’s probably Doncaster but both teams on a poor run.

This is more for tomorrow but BAYERN MUNICH are 11/10 to beat Arsenal tomorrow night …. this is a great price, I am going to double them up with CRYSTAL PALACE … sit back and watch the Money Roll in … Still Cannot believe I got evens on both Millwall and Wigan over the weekend, lovely double that was and pretty easy money

OFI Crete are EVS to win the 5:30pm in the Greek Super League, might be worth a wee bet. 4 Wins in a row at home, the team they’re playing have no wins in 8 away from home.

You can get 21/10 on To Win To Nil which may be a better bet since 3 of the 4 wins at home have been 2-0 and the other team have failed to score in 3 of the last 4 away from home.

Just for anyone looking for an extra tip since quite a few of the other games will be hard to call tonight.

    Israeli Toto League

Bnei Yehuda v Maccabi Tel Aviv 4th vs 1st

Yehuda look a not bad price at 3/1 there a good team at home last 5 won 4 scoring 8 conceeding 2 and a 0-0 draw

top dogs Maccabi not overly convincing away from home losing 4 drawing 2 out of 11

the one stat that caught my eye in the last 5 encounters between the pair Yehuda have won 3 by one goal and other 2 games 0-0 and 2-2 draw

    Yehuda DNB @ 21/10
    Double chance @ 10/11
    Yehuda +1 @ 10/11
    Bonkers bet Yehuda 2 – TelAviv 1 @ 14/1

or if it goes the other way like it could do with the eventual champions turning there horrid form around against Yehuda they are 5/6 and 11/5 -1

Doncaster have drifted out to 2-1 with skybet how can there be any serious money for crawley makes you wonder eh

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Craig, not sure why that is. It’s one that could go either way as is the cae with a few of the games tonight.

  18. Dean 11 years ago

Is there any reason why you have avoided both teams to score for the MVV v Veendam and Go Ahead Eagles v TOP Oss games?

Both teams to score has occured in MVV’s last 8 home games, while Veendam have scored and conceded in their last 5 away games. Furthermore, both teams have scored in all of their last 5 meetings.

5 out of Go Ahead Eagles last 6 home games have resulted in both teams scoring, while TOP Oss have scored and conceded in 7 of their last 8 away games. The last 3 meetings between both sides have seen scorelines of 1-4, 7-2 and 5-3.

I can’t dispute your both teams to score treble and will most likely add those to the aforementioned games. Is it too much to ask for 5 out of the 6 games to go BTTS though. The only game I can rule out is Emmen v Fortuna.

  19. Tony 11 years ago

Fancy all them Juliper games to be over 2.5 goals Paul. Been keeping an eye on that league always loadsa goals.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Tony, normally five or six out of seven are over. So it’s about spotting the one that might let you down and not being too greedy. That’s why I’ve stuck up a treble tonight when four or five would be more tempting.

  20. conor 11 years ago

According to the local paper tommy breslin will be fielding a strong side..i know cork are missing a central defender this evening..cliftonville rested the players last time with a view to securing the title by beating crusaders on saturday but the game was postponed..they are 4-0 down but will want to get back to playing and will want to get one over the southern side who will surely have the foot off the pedal tonight…11/8 ive seen cliftonville quoted

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Luke, I can’t see a price, they can’t be doing that market on this game.

  28. Ross 11 years ago

Two trixies. Over 2.5 goals Crawley v Doncaster, Dijon V Monaco, Siena v Lazio… EVS, 11/10, 5/4, cracking prices £1.25 a line returns approx £28. Doncaster, Lazio and Monaco to win £1.25 a line trixie returns £36. Also did a daft quid on the above three, plus de graffschap, rio ave, reading and maccabi tel aviv…quid returns £1836 LMAO

  29. Tony 11 years ago

Ross your over 2.5 trixie looks like a cracking bet. French games are boring and normally under 2.5 but you never know. The Siena game is a banker m8

  30. Elliott 11 years ago

Jumping the gun a bit as this ones for tomorrow but Watford look a very nice price away at Ipswich tomorrow. A good super single bet.

Watford 6/4 that’s 2.5 for a team that have the best away record in the league. Having also won 4 of their past 5 away games, including a thumping victory away at Birmingham on Saturday (0-4).

Ipswich have won their last two at home admittedly which is of slight concern but Watford are also the leagues top scorers by quite a way scoring 12 away goals in their last five.

Add the fact that 23 of their 32 league games have had three goals or more I’m tempted by the double.

Watford and Over 2.5 goals = 4.77 Bet Victor

    Or

Watford , Over 2.5 goals and BTTS = 7.87 Bet Victor

  45. Peter Brown 11 years ago

Waiting on 3 goals in the Dutch for all 6 Btts :) here’s hoping!

  46. Badham 11 years ago

Coming from an Arsenal fan that actually goes down and supports my team. As much as id love to progress, I fear we have no chance! We’ve been taken apart by too many teams at home this season and looked dismal of late too. Was at the Shalke game we didn’t fashion a proper chance till the last 5 mins and I’d already left by tht point. Swansea took the game to us and deserved their 2-0 win. Man City didnt play the best but still managed to keep us out (yes we had 10 men) but still. Liverpool played us off the park for 60 mind their too. Bayern won’t fear the Emirates and the way their playing lately why should I. They won’t sit back and hang out for a draw they’ll go for the jugular in the first leg and I see no reason why they shouldn’t. LB I HOPE will be Vermaelen as Gibbs is out and Monreal tied. Which means the tallest man in our team that can’t win a header and can be outpaced by Emile Heskey is centre half and if I was him just the though of Ribery, Robben, Mandzukic and co would make me not fancy it! Our only hope is to try and out score Bayern as Badstuber is injured and Boateng is suspended but I still think high flying Bayern will have enough to cope. Bayern win for me in this one. Wenger rested our players in the last trophy we had a chance in!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Badham, that’s a fair assessment. To me it’s like Wenger’s time is up even though he won’t be sacked. Has done well over the years but no trophies in eight years must hurt and selling Van Persie to Man Utd was a big mistake.

  47. Guido 11 years ago

wee Trixie as we;; Siena/Lazio 21/10, Doncaster 2/1 and Arsenal Sarandi in Argentina later 23/20 (won clausura last season – early days in Arg, but gie them a try as just odds against)

Peter, looks like 5 out of 7 as usual. Pity about FC Eindhoven in particular but as I said most of these games come up and it’s all about avoiding the one or two that don’t. Right, off to the pub for the last beer of my holidays and watch second half of Man Utd. Back to the grind tomorrow night.

  52. al 11 years ago

    Yes peter hope so

  53. gunner 11 years ago

crawley got this game won doncaster doing nothink

  54. Bryan 11 years ago

I’ve been watching a lot of Bayern recently and they have looked so impressive. They have huge physical strength through the spine of their team. In the full back areas you’ve got Alaba and Lahm who both fly up and down the wing all game. Ribery offers that bit of class from out wide in the final third and Mandžukić has been a revelation, keeping Gomez out of the side. Dante has also made a big difference to them at the back. I think this is the best Bayern team in many years. Arsenal with a full team and at their best can give anyone a game but certainly on current form you’d have to fancy Bayern.

  55. pedro 11 years ago

Went into ladbrokes to do the bbts on the dutch league and they didn’t have them on the coupon. Poor from such a ‘big company’

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Pedro, yeah that’s disappointing. Noticed they were on Hill’s coupons but a lot of bookies will leave them off because they expect them to come up.

  56. Bryan 11 years ago

Pedro, did you actually ask for the odds?

Remember you can write it on a slip.

  57. Ross 11 years ago

IMO for such a large company Ladbrokes football coverage is massively dissapointing. Usually beaten on price by others, barely cover half of the games that other bookies do, when you do manage to get a game outside of the big 5 leagues you can usually only bet on the win market…im not their biggest fan but id stick with hills if possible.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ross, all bookies have advantages and disadvantages. But remember you see more markets online and if the market is online they’ll almost always take the bet in the shop although the price might not be the same.

    • Bryan 11 years ago

      Ross,

There’s no need to ‘stick’ with any one bookie. The bookie I use depends on who’s offering the best odds. I always check oddschecker and take it from there. No one bookie offers the best odds all the time. I find myself using various bookmakers on a weekly basis.

1 plus 2. Think celtic want this league won as quick as poss! If they can take 6 of dundee utd they can beat st johnstone by a few. Plus they dont have CL over there head but they know there out of that so its SPL now!

It’s called being realistic Gunner. I’m going tmo night and will be supporting my team to the highest level like always. I’d love a win and to progress as I’ve said but I feel we need to strengthen to have any chance in the champions league. Yes Bayern are in my treble because yes I can see them beating us and I feel the odds are good enough to go with but I’d much rather see us beat them and lose my money anyway so bore off.

  84. Stevie H 11 years ago

Another Dutch btts treble up. Thankfully I never took the Cambuur game and avoided the other one but yet again its proving to be a consistant league when it comes to goals….as long as you avoid the right games that is lol
