CAST your mind back to August and remember West Brom pumping Liverpool 3-0.

It was a great start for Steve Clarke and a dreadful one for Brendan Rodgers but the roles have been reversed in recent weeks with the Reds going well and the Baggies fading.

I can't see anything but a Liverpool win at Anfield tonight but they are no bigger than 2-5 with firm such as Ladbrokes and I've lost count of the number of times Liverpool have let me down when odds on.

So I'll take the Reds hopefully rather than faithfully and I'm boosted by the knowledge thay have won three in a row at home – without conceding – and are looking more solid as well as balanced with Daniel Sturridge an impressive addition to the ranks.

Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in all of those wins and are 13-10 at Paddy Power to manage to win to nil.

A 2-0 victory pays 7-1 at Betvictor but wouldn't Liverpool love to “level it on aggregate” with a 3-0 success at 10-1.

The first-scorer cash will probably be divided between Luis Suarez at 10-3 (William Hill) and Skybet’s 7-2 shot Daniel Sturridge.

I'm tempted by both to score at anytime and that pays a best £38.20 to a £10 stake at Stan James.

It seems I've written off West Brom but they're in relegation form with just eight points taken from 12 matches. Liverpool almost look banker material and I'd be surprised if they didn't win by at least one (21-20, Stan James).

There's one game in the SPL tonight and Hibs v St Johnstone is quite tough to call. Hibs have had the better of the meetings so far winning 2-0 at home and 1-0 away.

Those stats suggest a Hibs win to nil but I'm not convinced – although I wouldn't argue with anyone who thinking about under 2.5 goals at 4-6 with Skybet or even under 1.5 goals.

Look at Hibs' last four results – 1-0, 0-1, 0-0, 1-1, 0-0 and 1-0. No wonder Easter Road fans are rushing home on Saturday nights to catch the latest edition of Splash.

Stan James make Hibs 6-4 with William Hill clocking up Saints as underdogs at odds of 15-8 but I'm siding with the draw at 23-10 at Paddy Power while draw/draw HT/FT is 4-1 at BetVictor.

Hibs' on-loan frontman Leigh Griffiths is 4-1 at Ladbrokes and Skybet to net the opener but he's suffering a bit of a drought.

Four of Saints' last six have been under 2.5 as well so I'm thinking of doing a bet I don't like – no scorer. As it looks a game of few goals this has a chance but obviously the bet could go down in the first minute.

It's not a great punt to have if you're watching the match live but I'll be tuning in to Liverpool v West Brom. No scorer – and remember to take that instead of 0-0 in case of an OG – pays a best 9-1 at and BetVictor.

Under 1.5 goals is a possibility and that pays 85-40 at BetVictor.

I looked at Real Betis v Real Valldolid and Braga v Pacos Ferreira but don't strong opinions on either game. Betis haven't won in five so a home win looks too short while it's fourth v third in Portugal with Braga trying to put surprise guys Pacos in their place.

Again the odds on a Braga win look undervalue and after what happened yesterday with hot favourites Porto and Benfica both drawing it might be worth leaving alone.

Liverpool -1
(21-20, Stan James

Suarez, Sturridge both to score
(3-1, Stan James)

Under 1.5 goals at Hibs
(85-40, BetVictor)

Hibs v St Johnstone draw/draw
(4-1, BetVictor)

Paul. I like Stan James as you know but like many bookies I can’t seem to get them to accept an anytime scorer double in the same match….singles only.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Bruce, phone up and ask them. There’s no way you shouldn’t be getting it on. Bookies would rather you did multiples than singles anyway. It might just be a problem with that type of bet on whatever device you are using.

    • Danny 11 years ago

PFKA you better hope Liverpool start the game all guns blazin if west brom score first it would be a real cause for concern

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Danny, if I was as brave I’d do similar bets because I really feel Liverpool will win well but I’m settling for Liverpool to win and the minus one.

    • Guido 11 years ago

6am??..FFS…I’d been giving it heavy zzzzzzzzzz at that time! Ya doin any fitba the night? Liverpool/Betis double for me

  8. Mr H 11 years ago

Not much doing today on the footy front but im going too go with

Manisaspor v Ankaragucu HOME WIN…..Manisaspor have home record which reads P10 W6 D3 L1 F14 A5 and come into this game in 3rd place in the table but 3points here today against bottom club Ankaragucu will lift them into joint 1st but 2nd on goal difference. They have won 3 out of the last 4 at home scoring 6 and conceding 3. Ankaragucu have an away frecord which reads P9 W1 D3 L6 F8 A16,they have won 1 in the last 5 on the road and i cant see them improving on that today against a strong team fighting for automatic promotion

Liverpool v West Brom HOME WIN….Liverpool after a shaky start too the season are now starting to put a bit of form together and have a couple of 2-2 draws at the Emirates and Etihad recently. They have won 4 of the last 5 at home scoring 14 times and conceding just 3. West Brom on the otherhand have started too fade badly recently after a superb start too the season which seen them occupy a top 6 spot for a long time. In the last 5 games on the road they have just 1 win and 4 losses,in these games they have managed to find the net 5 times and conceded 10. Sturridge has added another dimension too the Liverpool attack and removed some of the heavy burden from Suarez’s shoulders. I can see Liverpool winning by a couple here tonight and -1 goal on the handicap is a reachable target for a resurgent Liverpool

Hertha Berlin v Union Berlin OVER 2.5GLS…..Today we see a Berlin derby in the German 2nd division and i dont like tipping winners in derby matches so im going for the overs market in this one. The last 2 between these teams has seen over 2.5 been achieved and i see no reason why it shouldnt continue today. In the last 5 matches of both teams have seen goals with Unions games producing 22 goals and Herthas games producing 15 goals. Hertha have failed too score in only 1 match since the beginning of Augaust and Union have scored in all but 2 since the start of November.

Braga v Pacos Ferreria BTTS….a game in the Portuguese top flight between the teams occupying 3rd & 4th spot. 5 of the 6 between these 2 have seen both teams net with 23 goals in these games and i fancy a bit of the same today. Both teams have scored in Bragas last 5 matches and they have conceded 12 times in 9 home matches. Pacos have scored 13 goals in 9 matches on the road and i can see that continuing today against a frail Braga backline

  9. john g 11 years ago

I’m keeping it simple tonight, sturridge 1st goal. Tenner returns 45.

  10. Badham 11 years ago

Mr H! Cheers for all the info pal.

  11. Drew welsh 11 years ago

Need Suarez, to score first tonight for 4 out of 6 correct in a e/w hienz, fingers crossed.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Suarez has as much chance as anyone so good luck with that.

  12. Mr H 11 years ago

Your welcome Badham, willing to give any help i can to anyone too help bash the bookie

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Mr H, it’s good stuff and it can only help everyone here especially on lower-league teams that I don’t have much time to look at. OK, off to the office to write up a Champions League column for the Record. I’ve got an hour to decide what way to go with Celtic v Juve.

    • Guido 11 years ago

Celtic 1-1 Juventus Paul…Juventus happy with a draw n Celtic have a good home record in Europe

  13. Aaron 11 years ago

Haha episode of splash tickled me Paul.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Aaron, it was on in the office one Saturday night after the footie and I don’t think I’ve seen anything so bad.

  14. Aaron 11 years ago

Some short priced players to win the first round of welsh open snooker if any one fancies it maybe an acc.
    Probably dott to.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Aaron, read in the Racing Post today an outright tip for Barry Hawkins at 66-1. The price will have gone of course but what do you think?

  15. Mr H 11 years ago

I’ll help out when i can Paul. I fancy BTTS in the Celtic v Juve game, this fixure last time out produced my most memorable CL experience with a 4-3 home victory which avenged being robbed in Turin with Amoruso’s pathetic dive for a late spot kick that left a bitter taste in the mouth and subsequently cost us a last 16 place under Martin O’Neill

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Mr H, I can see btts also at Celtic. Funny you mention the 4-3 game, the only Champions League fixture I’ve attended and what a belter it was.

    • Mr H 11 years ago

Perhaps Lubomir Moravciks finest 90mins in a Celtic jersey Paul,he was outstanding that night. A penalty was given in that game for holding in the box which is a rarity in itself, these offences should be punished more often

Craig, that’s a great effort. We were down at a conference in London at the weekend and have been offered a few games and promos for the site and the paper and one firm were keen to get us involved in their fantasy football so hopefully we’ll do it.

  20. Jason 11 years ago

Bet365 definitely don’t allow multiple anytime scorer bets in the same match

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Jason, that’s quite surprising with bet365. Ladbrokes actually flagged this up in their shops today. To be honest I don’t often do same team anytime scorers but it’s not a related bet so should be OK. I’m going to email my old mate Steve Freeth at bet365 and see what he says.

  21. paul monty 11 years ago

Bet 365..£50 win real madrid 8/13…then £50 on the draw 7/2….in play (free bet)nice tidy profit cos man utd will not win in Madrid.
Also done a £3 Yankee on 4 draws on tues/weds champions league matches, only need 2 draws any money back, all four games will be close

  22. Craig23_50 11 years ago

    • paul monty 11 years ago

wouldnt argue with btts craggsy lad, but surely you should put £50 on it pre game with bet365 at 4/6 then £50 in play then you are getting something like 6/4 for what is a 4/6 chance

Home Win Double Liverpool (minus 1) x Hibs – just under 4-1. Hibs lucky to win away at St J a few weeks back, but playing ok generally. One of recent 1-0s was against the tic, so, team not out of form. Leigh Griffiths due to do some talking on the pitch after shooting well wide with his gob on twitter.
    Liverpool is nailed on.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

UHT, Liverpool do look nailed on and as someone said it will be a great night for bookies if they slip up. Didn’t fancy Hibs but St Johnstone have surprised me by scoring two.

  45. Muzza 11 years ago

No footy bets for me tonight Guido. Can’t force myself to bet on a team I don’t ever want to win (scousers) and lost too much on GG’s today

    • Guido 11 years ago

Know exactly what ya mean Muzza

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, it’s a snore bore so far. I don’t care who the team are, I want them to win if I’ve backed them. So come on Liverpool give us a goal in the second half.

    • Muzza 11 years ago

I want you all to take money from the bookies Mr F but Liverpool have let me down so many times I vowed never ever to back them again and I am sticking to that! Plus I am a united fan so enjoy laughing at them:

Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher are writing a book together but they are struggling as they don’t have a title……..

PS you would be right at home in Corby Mr F!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, Corby sounds like a good move if I ever got out of Clydebank. As for Liverpool maybe I’ll learn my lesson. I warned myself not to back them at such short odds but I didn’t listen.

  46. Chris Guy 11 years ago

Just woke up, thankfully didn’t touch the Kiverpool game. You are correct Paul, they let you down so often when odds on. They may still win but I can see 0-0.

  47. Chris Guy 11 years ago

As for the Celtic game tomorrow I simply can’t ignore the 25/1 being offered by Betfred for Wanyama to score first. Huge price. He scored against Barcelona he can do the same against Juventus.

    • Muzza 11 years ago

Good chance for lots of draws in 1st leg of last 16 Chris – I am going to choose 4 games and do a Yankee. So far I can make a case for every game to be a draw……..

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, me too and that’s a problem I don’t like. At the end of the day the second legs will count for everything.

    • Muzza 11 years ago

I do think that all 4 games this week look like draws so I am going to do a Yankee on these. Only 2 up for a profit and I really think there will be at least 2

Chris, 25-1 is massive but he hasn’t scored for a while has he?

  54. Don 11 years ago

  55. Muzza 11 years ago

Typical Liverpool…… Sounds like a smash & grab?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, West Brom had no shots on or off target in first half but about 10 minutes ago brought on a second striker so must have fancied their chances. Liverpool missed the pen but not too many other clear-cut chances. Just a flat performance and look like they’re missing Sturridge. Don’t know anyone who was backing West Brom tonight.

    • Muzza 11 years ago

I only know 1 person – my mate has just text me – staunch baggies fan and he got 16’s before the game then stuck another £10 on at 40’s just before half time!

Just cashed out on Betfair apparently

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, you’d have to have been a Baggie to back them – or mad.

    • Muzza 11 years ago

He cashed out just before they bagged the second so only got £475 instead of £560 profit but he is the happiest I have EVER heard him. Unlike the rest of the countries gamblers tonight ……..

Glad I lost it on the horses instead of the scousers though.

      Onwards & upwards!!

    • JackSparrow 11 years ago

Haha, we’re not all mad Mr F!

Followed this guys advice who made a good case for backing the baggies at 10/1 tonight

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Jack, it’s funny because I was aware of that stat about them not beating a side in the top half of the table. But on current form it seemed irrelevant with Liverpool on the up and WBA not winning since Boxing Day. I also wondered how the Steve Clarke effect would play out then thought he can’t do anything on the pitch. With hindsight I back West Brom.

  56. Robert Bogle 11 years ago

Tell me why I dont like Mondays….humped!!!

  57. Mr H 11 years ago

Oh well Liverpool let me down yet again, onwards and upwards and I will be back tomorrow with my tips for all yous who are interested

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Mr H, it just shows unpredicatable football is. That’s the beauty of it or the frustration of it. I see Braga were losing 3-0 at home to, admittedly to a decent Pacos team, but the WBA/Pacos double would have paid about 50-1. And 2-0 West Brom now.

  58. flyboivince 11 years ago

    liverpool r suckers

  59. Dave 11 years ago

anyone taking the Lanus v Colon game? im down 25 after the dirty reds let me down again! btts on pacos and empoli game, is it worth a btts??

  60. Guido 11 years ago

Last punt of the evening see if I can keep up my 100% long strike rate in Argentinian league going this season (2 from 2 hahaha!) Lanus to beat Colon Santa Fe. Lanus strong at home in last years Apertura/did well in South American comps. Hopefully do the biz in tonights Clausura opener.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, don’t follow it to be honest but Liverpool have put me off gambling for life. Or 24 hours at least.

    • Guido 11 years ago

Don’t blame ya Paul. I backed them (as did the whole of Britain by looks of it and got burnt) but like Watford a few weeks back had a nasty taste in ma mooth about it….cest la vie. I do keep tabs with the Argentinian stuff…lot easier to follow than Brazil

    • Dave 11 years ago

you taking them to win then? how much you putting on >?

    • Guido 11 years ago

I think n hope they win Dave…ona scale of 1-10 I’d say a 7?…dunno if that me recoup Liverpool n Betis loses

    • Muzza 11 years ago

What odds on that Guido? Could we make it 2 overnight wins out of 2?

    • Dave 11 years ago

19/20 at william hill muzza, how much are you going for ?

    • Muzza 11 years ago

After last night blind gamble (sleeping) on River Plate came in I liked waking up with an extra £200 in my paddy power this morning but unfortunately I lost it on the GG’s….

However I need to get my pot back up so I am going to bow to Guidos superior knowledge on this and stick £110 on at 10/11 and hopefully wake up happy again!!

    • Dave 11 years ago

oh right ok, heres me bricking it thinking about putting a full 20 to make up some of my 25 lost stake on the dirty reds. I feel i should tell you to save your money and keep it on a safer btts tommorrow but if i do no doubt they will win…..

    • Muzza 11 years ago

Dave I am in a little comp with 3 mates to see who can build up their pot the most in Feb after all starting with £200′ each. I was in last place until Friday and Saturday when I won big 2.4K on the horses and £700 (60/1 treble came in) on the football and now I am top of the league on just under £3k but have to keep playing its a bug!

Good luck with whatever you decide mate

    • Guido 11 years ago

Im not Milesey Muzza!! hahaha..hope they win. What I notice about Argie league there always seems to be piles of sendings off?..don’t have stats to back it,,,just an observation really? Thankfully didn’t matter last night…

    • Dave 11 years ago

i notice alot of red cards in the games i tend to back too, doesnt have to argentina, tends to be game ive backed that has the red cards. Couple weeks back i did A madrid and there was 3 reds in that game! if only id known would have been a tasty bet that.

    • Guido 11 years ago

I hada double on that game Dave…when 1st came in hada good amount riding on Ath Mad…they went 1-0 up n Sevilla had a players sent off and the draw went out to something ridiculous in 20/1? or sumthin in running and sevilla 80/1…was gonna put a saver on the draw just in case but didn’t really see Sevilla getign into it/was swithering…then Sevilla got a pen and Ath Mad got player sent off just as I was about to back the draw,,,hahaha was f&iin raging..thankfully Ath Mad gotta winner!! hahaha..just show ya how fickle/need to act quickly/sometimes u don’t get 2nd chances in running!!

    • Dave 11 years ago

Guido, i am fairly new to this betting lark, i know what a single and double and treble is but no idea what the others mean ive seen them on tips perm 2 from 3 is that like a double where u stick 3 bets on and still get something back if one lets you down? prbs a dumb q but ive no idea. explain your bet to me if u dont mind, im thinkinhg of going for lanus but if u know a way i can make it safer im up 4 that :D. I won money on that sevilla game, AM are very good bet at home esp with the cash out options ;)

    • Milesey 11 years ago

A Patent has 7 bets, but is made up of 3 selections. Your 3 selections make up 3 single bets, 3 double bets and 1 treble bet.

A Trixie has 4 bets and totals 3 selections. It contains 3 doubles and 1 treble bet.

      A Yankee has 11 bets involving 4 selections. You have 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold.

      Lucky 15

      A Lucky 15 consists of 15 bets involving 4 selections. You will have 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold.

      Canadian/Super Yankee

A Canadian (sometimes known as a Super Yankee) has 5 selections which total 26 bets. There are 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds plus 1 five-fold.

      Lucky 31

      A Lucky 31 consists of 31 bets involving 5 selections. It has 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

      A Heinz is 57 bets from 6 selections. There are 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and 1 six-fold.

      Lucky 63

      A Lucky 63 is made up of 63 bets from 6 selections. You have 6 singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and 1 six-fold.

      Super Heinz

      A Super Heinz is 120 bets from 7 selections. It has 21 doubles, 35 trebles, 35 four-folds, 21 five-folds, 7 six-folds and 1 seven-fold.

      A Goliath consists of 247 bets from 8 selections. There are 28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 four-folds, 56 five-folds, 28 six-folds, 8 seven-folds and 1 eight-fold.

    • Milesey 11 years ago

If you’ve made more than 2 selections, it’s possible to ‘perm’ them in a bet. This allows you to bet on all the doubles in 3 selections, all the trebles in 4 selections or all the 4-folds in 5 selections etc.

This is a convenient way to place a lot of multiple bets and can produce great winnings. For instance, if you place a perm bet of doubles from 4 selections you will receive some winnings if only 2 of your selections win.

To get the maximum winnings from this type of bet, all your selections have to win. When you place your bet, you’ll be shown a box which calculates your possible winnings* – please be aware that these are your maximum winnings and will only be achieved if all your selections win.

    • Dave 11 years ago

Thanks for the info young milesey

    • Guido 11 years ago

Milesey has summed it up perfectly what perms are Dave. The more selctions the greater need for some kinda perm is what I’d say..less selection more chance of it coming up…plus everyone needs a wee bitta luck. Imagine if you did a tenner treble on 3 teams to win each at 2/1…so ud get £10x3x3x3x3= £810 return for straight accumlator. if one wrong u get tiddly squat. If u used the same tenner and permed eg ud get 3 x £2.50 trebles and 1 x 2.50 accumulator equal £10 quid…if one was wrong ud get 1 treble up £2.50x3x3x3 = £67.50 return for ur initial tenner. If they all won ud get 3 trebles @ £67.50 based on them all bein at the price of 2/1 = £202.50 plus the £2,50 accum = £2.50x3x3x3x3 = £607.50 plus ur 3 trebles total of 202.50 ie return of £810 quid in total if they all won….perms are a safety net.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, perms aren’t for everyone and they’re not for every bet. I like them when you’re still going to make a decent profit with one wrong and they’re good for things like draws and first scorers, outsiders etc.

    • Guido 11 years ago

Absolutely Paul…the odds kinda have to merit using it, perfect examples with draws etc. Widna be using it for a Milesey 1/14 shot Kabbass and a couple of Kabbass’s similarly priced equine stablemates on a Trixieat Southwell :-)

  63. kirky 11 years ago

mr fixit , what you think of this bet I just put on for europe this week , got a chance

    Valencia – PSG BTTS
    Real – Man U BTTS
    Shakhtar – Dortmund BTTS

    Spurs – Lyon BTTS
    Inter – Cluj BTTS

    Barca to beat Milan

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Kirky, every game has a chance of btts but of course you’re lessening your chance with six picks overall. I’d slightly worry about Spurs who had a few low scorers in the group matches and who might not play a full team.

    • kirky 11 years ago

1st one up , got lucky tho

    • kirky 11 years ago

      3 right , 4 to go

  64. Andy G 11 years ago

I just seen Celtic to win by 1 @ 6/1 ladbrokes. If Celtic are going to win its only gonna be by one

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Andy, and it’s quite a big if. The best way to take Celtic to win if you think they will is simply back the home. How gutted would you be if they won 2-0 for example. And remember they were 2-0 ahead against Barcelona until conceding one in the last minute. However, I’m looking at the draw.

  65. BIG JOCK 11 years ago

Thatll be tha last time i go all in on tha word of tha tipsters on here,a lumped on BIG on tha liverool game tha night and had a hell o a time explaining tae BIG AGGIE were her &2.15 had gone outa her purse tha id slapped on ma bets i posted earlier,am gutted ive lost tha lot and theres nae haggis fir me tha night over it.BIG BETS DOES NAE PAY!!

    • AC 11 years ago

  66. Chris Guy 11 years ago

Am I the only one who never lost any money today? Lol. Glad I slept in and missed the Liverpool kick off.

  67. Chris Guy 11 years ago

    Guido good luck with Lanos

Paul Wanyama not scored in a few games but simply can’t ignore him at 25/1. As I’ve said already if he can score against Barcelona he can do the same against Juventus. Can’t see there being many goals in the game though. Would rather have him first and last at 25/1 than 13/2 anytime. He scored first goal against Barcelona and I think he will def be up for it. I think he will raise his game Paul.

  68. Chris Guy 11 years ago

Andy you could do what Paul said. Back them to win by 1 goal @ 6/1 and cover it with a small Bet on Celtic to win 2-0 @ 28/1.

That will cover you for 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-2 etc

  69. Chris Guy 11 years ago

Don’t know who makes up the prices at Betfred

    Wanyama 25/1
    Lustig 25/1

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Chris, Wanyama should of course be much smaller than Lustig but if I had to pick someone it would be Hooper to repeat his opener against Barca. Also you haven’t mentioned Mulgrew.

  70. Chris Guy 11 years ago

    Guido Lanos 1-0

  71. Guido 11 years ago

Cheers Chris. Have ya made yer final selection for Celtic game 2moro?

  72. Andy 11 years ago

For anyone interested in Champions League Goalscorers this week.

    Anytime Scorers
    Lewandoski (Dortmund)
    Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
    Hopper (Celtic)
    Ibrahimovic (PSG)

£5 on them returns £200, more if you want to lump it on. Thought that was quite good considering how well all those 4 guys have been playing this season.

Those odds are on Paddy Power though so it may be different elsewhere.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Andy, think I’ll jump on Hopper. Sorry!

  73. Dave 11 years ago

Guido, I’ve still got no idea what that means but thanks anyway. Lanus are winning 2-0 that’s cus I didn’t bet on them ;)

    • Guido 11 years ago

You’ll get the hang of it Dave/get someone to show u on a piece of of the old fellas ya see hangin oot in bookies all day with the fags in the mooth nippin back n fore to the boozer are a good place to find help :-)

  74. Alva 11 years ago

Not 1 of ur tips came in tonite. Stop goin 4 the obvious.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Alva, stop being daft. Was my weekend treble full of obvious picks? What about Saturday’s Super Single? Get your facts right before you come on a criticise. I didn’t see you going for West Brom and Liverpool were my only obvious tip of the night. I said not to back favourites Hibs, Braga and Real Betis and none of them won. If you’re going to slag everyone who tipped Liverpool last night’s it’s going to take you the rest of the year. I hope you’ve also been on to the Racing Post and other tipsters who went for a home win.

    • BIG JOCK 11 years ago

ah dinnae like tae fight you know me mrfixit but he has a point, who apart from yerself ever posts a decent priced winning accie or treble, all a see are rubbish priced singles tha we are told tae lump on big with.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

BIG JOCK, I wouldn’t advise anyone to do multiples if they can do singles. I put up both because I’m catering for a wide market, especially in the Record, and there are thousands of punters who like to throw a couple of quid at accers. But if I was doing it professionally or charging for tips it would be singles and doubles and maybe the odd treble on something like both teams to score.

    • BIG JOCK 11 years ago

only thing a lump on big wi is my aggie

  75. Madi 11 years ago

I think juve 2-0 personally. Celtic have nae chance

  76. Striker 11 years ago

Good shot Guido, Lanus 4-0 up and 3 mins left. I think it’s in the bag.

  77. Guido 11 years ago

Thanks Striker. Was fairly hopeful but u needa bitta luck/not wanting someone sent off to f$$$ it up etc!

    • Muzza 11 years ago

      Nice one Guido good shout!

Another pleasant wake up this morn with £100 profit in the account! Will try not to blow it today!

  78. Danny 11 years ago

noticed a few lads recentley saying there new at the old betting game this may seem like a pain in the a**e but ul be opening bettin accounts anyway

    1. Open an account with Betway and deposit £95.00.
Place your £95.00 on Middlesbrough at odds of 2.20 (6/5).
Betway will refund your first bet with them if if doesn’t win, up to £50.00.

    2. Open an account with Betfair and deposit £50.00.
Place your £50.00 on Leeds at 3.55.
If your first bet with Betfair does not win, they refund your stake up to £20.00.

    3. Open an account with Betdaq and deposit £53.00. You need to enter the promotional code ALLBDQ04 when prompted.
Place your £53.00 on the draw at 3.55.
If your first bet with Betdaq loses, they will refund your stake up to £30.00.

You have temporarily laid out a total of £198.00 on the Middlesbrough v Leeds match. I stress, temporarily… Now sit back, crack a beer open and enjoy the game.

    4. Here’s what happens at the end of the game.

If Middlesbrough win, you collect £259.00. That’s £209.00 from Betway plus £20.00 from Betfair plus £30.00 from Betdaq.

If Leeds win, you collect £257.50. That’s £177.50 from Betfair plus £50.00 from Betway plus £30.00 from Betdaq.

If it’s a draw, you collect £258.15. That’s £188.15 from Betdaq plus £20.00 from Betfair plus £50.00 from Betway.

    5. So the worst case scenario on the Middlesbrough v Leeds match is Leeds win and you make £59.50 profit. However, if Middlesbrough win you make £61.00 profit and if it’s a draw you make £60.15 profit.

That’s a minimum profit of over 30%, a much better rate of interest than you would get at any high street bank or building society

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Danny, it’s great for anyone who has the patience to do this and remember you can do it with most bookies on just about any game.

  79. Chris Guy 11 years ago

Paul not sure about Mulgrew he is 25/1 also but I can see him playing a more defensive role to be honest. Can’t see Mulgrew playing in midfield and don’t think he will be going forward that much as they will be keeping it tight at the back. Wanyama good for set pieces. 25/1 crazy price. I will be on him first and last.

  80. John Connor 11 years ago

    from OPTA

Celtic and Juventus have met four times in the past, each of their encounters ending in a home win, while no Italian club has won at Celtic Park in the Champions League (two defeats, two draws).

Juventus away record in the group stages was 1-1 (Chelsea) 1-1 (Norsjaelland) and a 1-0 win in Donetsk.

It look like a close call.

I’ve gone for a double chance £40 on Celtic or Draw, 1/1.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

John, I think Celtic could get a draw because that would suit Juve fine. But Danny’s right, the OPTA stats you quoted are interesting but mean very little looking at tonight’s game.

  81. Danny 11 years ago

I dont care who wins the game a just hope its good enough to merit the 3.45am kick off time the opta facts have no bearing on tonights clash what happened 12 years ago means nothing williamhill rushed there facts as chelsea-Juventus was 2-2 ive always felt the big guns in the group stage do the business at home and and an away win to see them through so last 16 is a different story its 2 games were class comes out on top over luck….most of the time

  82. John Connor 11 years ago

You’re right Danny, but I still think that Juventus will keep it tight and it will be a low scoring game.

  83. Peter Brown 11 years ago

It was Chelsea 2-2 Juventus! But 4/1 @ bet 365 is massive for Celtic! Really fancy us to get a result!!!

  84. Ryan 11 years ago

Mr F, been reading some of the negative comments. I know you do not need me to say this, but just keep doing what you are doing. Excellent site with some insightful tips. A lot of these guys do not seem to grasp that they would have to pay for the quality tips that you you provide free of charge. I have been following you for quite a few weeks now and show a reasonable profit by following your tips. Keep up the good work.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ryan, you’re spot on. There are no tipsters who give 100 per cent winners, even thos who charge for them. Myself and Milesey put up tips and they are there to be taken or not. I couldn’t believe the person having a go at me for tipping Liverpool last night. That was a crazy comment.
