IT was a great night for British clubs in the Champions League with all three winning – and Liverpool and Man City should continue that success tonight.

I tipped the 1-0 correct score for Rangers against Bursaspor and also fancied Spurs to see off Twente in their first Champions League group game at home. Man United weren't backed by too many due to their injury problems but battled to beat Valencia 1-0 in the Mestalla. It was one of the few nights bookies have cheered for the Reds who were friendless in the betting.

Liverpool and Man City are two sides with genuine chances of winning the Europa League although both probably feel they should be playing on the bigger stage. Roy Hodgson's side travel to Utrecht and if they can match up to a side that usually fly out the traps they should be able to sneak an away win.

Utrecht hammered Celtic 4-0 to reach the group stage but are struggling down at 12th in the Dutch league after a poor start. They are there for the taking and I fancy Liverpool at 6-5 with betfred.

Euro goals expert David Ngog is 5-1 with bet365 to net first while Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who hit a hat-trick against Celtic, is 15-2 with bet365.

Man City have a tough clash on the face of it but I don't expect Juventus to send a full team. They made six changes for their opener with Lech Poznan and were held at home and their focus is clearly on Serie A. City have beaten Liverpool and Chelsea in the league, keeping clean sheets both times, so you've got to fancy Roberto Mancini to lift his men for the visit of the Italians.

The Eastlands men look decent value at 4-5 with betfred and are 2-1 with Paddy Power to keep a clean sheet.

Steaua Bucharest put on a fairly decent show in their opener at Anfield and look big at 19-10 with bet365 to beat Napoli at home.

Porto are flying high and looking good and should be too classy for CSKA Sofia. Back them at 8-15 with William Hill and Ladbrokes.

I watched Sevilla's struggles continue when they went down 2-0 to Hercules on Sunday night and rarely threatened. They look short of confidence and that's not good when travelling to Borussia Dortmund. Consider the Germans at 21-20 with Paddy Power and William Hill.

Holders Atletico Madrid were unlucky to lose to Barcelona last week and once again should go far in this tournament. I like them at evens, generally available, to beat Bayer Leverkusen.

And finally the money has been piling in for Lille who make the short hop across the border to play Gent. The French side are streets ahead of their opponents and will hopefully land the gamble at 7-5 with Paddy Power.
