ROMANIA will be hit by a Spanish armada today as fans of Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid gather for the Europa League Final.
The game promises to be a cracker with Atletico the higher placed La Liga team but Athletic the ones who have really taken Europe by storm this season.
Highlight was home and away wins over Man United while they also beat Schalke and Sporting Lisbon on the way to the Final.
Star of their show was powerful hitman Fernando Llorente who is hoping to lead his side to their first European trophy.
Athletic boss Marcelo Bielsa is up against one of his former Argentina players in Diego Simone and it should be a fascinating contest.
Atletico have been rejuvenated since Simeone replaced Gregorio Manzano last December and are unbeaten in seven while Bilbao have won just four of their last 11. In La Liga it was a home win each so will it be the form dogs or the underdogs?
It's a close call but I can see Bilbao edging it with Llorente being the key man. They are a best 2-1 with the likes of BetVictor and bet365 to win in 90 minutes while Atletico are 29-20 at BetVictor.
Prolific Llorente is 6-1 (bet365, BetVictor) to score first and 7-4 at bet365 to net at any time while Atletico's 10-goal Euro hitman Falcao is 5-1 at William Hill, Paddy Power and others for the opener and 6-4 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power to net at any time.
Falcao has actually netted 27 goals in his last two Europa League campaigns and the Colombian will have to watched closely.
Both sides have hit loads of goals en route to Bucharest and although finals are sometimes subdued affairs I'm hoping for goals here. Over 2.5 pays 1-1 at unibet and the same firm have 3-4 on both teams to score.
Llorente to score
Falcao to score
Both teams to score
