THE Estonian leagues dominate Monday's card and it's a league I used to venture to frequently in search of goals and very rarely did it disappoint.
A few years have passed since those days but there is a match that has caught my eye this afternoon and it's the Parnu Derby as Parnu JK Vaprus host newly promoted Parnu JK in the Estonian second tier.
Parnu JK Vaprus vs Parnu JK (KO 5pm)
The visitors gained promotion from Esiliiga B the hard way last season as their 3rd place finish saw them come up via the playoffs as they defeated Tarvas 7-2 on aggregate.
They finished 23 points behind champions Nomme and they'll find there is a big difference in quality from what they'll been used to in the 3rd tier over the years.
They can be pleased with their start so far picking up 4 points from their opening three matches, although they were on the receiving end of a 4-2 hammering at Elva away from home and today they travel to neighbours Vaprus who are one of the leagues best sides having just missed on promotion last season and who have an opportunity to go top of the league with a win today.
Vaprus have returned with 2 wins from 2 and interestingly they hammered newly promoted side Vandra 4-1 at home last time out(a side who finished just above Parnu last season).
I think there is going to be a difference in quality between these two and with Vaaprus having home advantage and already putting one promoted side to the sword, I think they can win this comfortably.
