ENGLAND: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

IN the absence of the Premier League and Championship the English lower leagues have provided a goals bonanza for punters.

Millions has been paid on both teams to score lines and it was no surprise to me when Coral this weekend moved their bonuses to their European football coupon.

They had offered up to 30 per cent bonuses on both teams to score accumulators and I was one of thousands who cashed in. This weekend I'm going for an English fivefold which I hopes will make up for the loss of the Coral extras.

I'm starting with Wimbledon v Crewe in League Two. Wimbledon have recovered from a 3-0 defeat by Northampton to win four league games in a row and each one both teams have scored. Visitors Crewe have netted in their last five so take this at 8-11 with Stan James.

Next it's League Two leaders Southend against Morecambe. Paul Sturrock's fliers have rattled in 15 in their last five games while Morecambe's last six have featured both scoring. This one should come up and pays a biggest 3-4 with Stan James and Chandler.

Staying in League Two I'm taking a wee chance on Torquay v Gillingham. The Gulls have only netted once in three games but their last three home matches have finished 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3. Gillingham's last five games have featured both scoring and totalled 21 goals. This one pays 4-6 with Stan James.

I'm moving down to the Blue Square Premier for my final two selections. On Tuesday only one side – Forest Green – out of 18 failed to score and the three matches I tipped up all produced.

Braintree were one of the sides involved and both teams have scored every time I've picked one of their games. They are at home to a Bath side who went down 4-3 to Cambridge in midweek. Both to score pays 4-6 with Paddy Power and Stan James.

Finally go with York v Grimsby, two sides who are prolific scorers. York have netted 16 in five games but only kept one clean sheet while two of Grimsby's last three have been 5-2 wins. Grimsby's last six have brought up both teams to score and No.7 pays 8-13 with Coral.
