ELLIS launched his challenge to bet his way to a £10,000 and fell at the hurdle after getting a little carried away.

His first two bets landed but he went in a third time on volleyball – the first tip for that sport I've seen on this site – and it flopped.

I believe Ellis is giving it another go on Monday and remember it's just a bit of fun.

My pick for Friday was France Under-20s and they won but I got just 4-6 so I'm up to £16.67. I'll let you know where that's going later.

ellis m8 that’s where the patience comes into play m8 u need to really have discipline for this sort off bet and tbh it is very very very hard to achieve and betting on stuff like volleyball m8 is not the way to go but it’s a bit of fun so lets see wat occurs from this m8

I’m thinking Robertson again tomorrow ill have a look

  5. Boogabear 11 years ago

If that’s the bet then that’s the bet Andy, like it has been said plenty of times today, if you don’t like the look of it and not interested then don’t participate, simples

    Right here goes…

    1 bet a day which I like…

Neil Robertson to win vs Robert Milkins (1/3)

Robertson lost to the milkman at the crucible and I fully expect Robertson to kick on and win this tournament. He wants vengeance and he wants this tournament a lot. I thoroughly expect Robertson to fly through this match against an opponent in Milkins who hasn’t played particularly well on his way to the semis

Ellis, OK. I’ll pick mine later. Sports thread will go up soon.

  7. Dogary 11 years ago

Im not gonna lie. The fact that the guy robertson’s playings name has been spelt two different ways in this same comment – doesnt fill me with confidence about this bet lol

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Dogary, it’s Milkins. Ellis isn’t an editor as far as I know. I am so I’ve got to be more carefull.

why not the night before, all the regulars put up their banker for the next day, then go with the one with the most hits, then people can stop blaming ellis.?????

  9. Dogary 11 years ago

Ok sorry not trying to be negative, just had to say it. Great tips recently by the way!

  10. ellis 11 years ago

Ellis, good one. I’ll put a new thread after we see how my tip goes for your next one.

Good luck Ellis and well done to mr f for getting his first one up yday with France u20. Hope yous both get a gd run. I went with France u20 or draw at 2/9 for my first one. Got 12.22 on there to be over 0.5 goals in both confed cups game tonight at 1/8. It’s just a fun bet to try a couple of times if you don’t mind losing a tenner. Going to stick to singles on over ht and ft goals which I and others on this site am sure have made a big profit in recent times.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ruby, my second pick will be Paraguay U-20s against Mali. My £16.67 at 9-20 will become £24.17.

  20. Titou 11 years ago

I didnt realize we were all following the same bets, i didnt take Stanislas Wawrinka yesterday or youre 2nd bet not sure what that was … i put my 10a on Gilles Simon at 1.72 to get things rolling, but Good luck to what every one does

  21. ellis 11 years ago

    Mr F, good luck

Will put mine up tonight for you

  22. Dazz 11 years ago

Nice start Ellis,Typical, mist that one this morning.
Will start off with £15.33 and try and catch up,on Mr F tip with Paraguay and see how it goes.
Smaller stakes for today’s bets, doing more teams with goals galore today than singles, but also going to follow the Danes method,as its been doing pretty well too.
Also doing a treble G/G with the 3 Norway Tippeligaen games.
    G/ L all with today’s bets.

  23. ellis 11 years ago

I said Higgins if U missed ot haha he’s 3-0 up

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

ellis, I’m on Higgins but not Robertson.

  24. Ellis 11 years ago

I backed them both and said Higgins was a way of catching up if someone missed my bet thus morning as I said, Higgins could win this (although robbo was my big £100 outright bet ;))

  25. Ruby 11 years ago

After bet 2 up to 13.75 after both confed cup games had over 0.5 goals. Only another 60 odd to go and am there!

  26. Ruby 11 years ago

Yh not the most exciting challenge to start with but going to try it once and be patient see how far I get. Putting my 13.75 on over 1.5 goals in Spain game tomorrow at 1/5.

The even money challenge is a gd one. I actually had 11 winning singles in a row last week all about the even money mark with the usually overs that ppl tip on here including bp and one or two of my own. Only done 10 or 20 pound each single tho. Don’t think I’d want to try go the whole way tho would be gutted losing more than a few hundred on an even money shot.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ruby, 11 is good. On the site I think 7 in a row is best for my Super Singles and they are always over evens.

    • Ellis 11 years ago

Ruby I agree ,, that will be my bet for tomorrow

  27. Ruby 11 years ago

That’s gd going as your super singles are often quite big prices, always over evens as you say.

If I’d only done an accumulator lol. Hopefully some decent markets on the Tahiti game tomorrow, and fancy Spain to beat Nigeria will need to look at the markets see where the value is.
