ONE goal beat the both teams to score treble last night and I was one goal away from a lovely 125-1 score and win treble.

All four SPFL games last night saw both sides on target – even Forfar at Rangers – so I'm starting my both to score line with Dumbarton v Alloa, a fixture that has seen both net in eight of the last nine meetings.

Both have been in good form too with Dumbarton winning three out of four and Alloa on a run of four victories and boosted by the news Paul Hartley has been beaten by John Hughes to win the Inverness job.

The sides have been drawn together in the Scottish Cup so that will give this Championship clash an edge and hopefully there will be a few goals.

Dunfermline v Ayr in the Scottish Cup is my next pick as they fight for the right to face Rangers in a lucrative tie at Ibrox.

It was 1-1 last weekend and five of Dunfermline's last six and all of Ayr's last five have seen both score.

Complete the treble with Man United v Everton. As I've said it should be a cracker with Davie Moyes welcoming his former side to Old Trafford.

Picking a winner is tough but while I don't think United will lose they are likely to concede against a side that's netted seven in two outings. United have conceded four in their last two league games so goals looks the way to go.

I've also put up a suggested score and win fourfold, by popular demand. It's not my favourite but I can see why people want to have a go. The fourfold pays more than 400-1 so I'd advise either doing £1 trebles and a £1 fourfold or a 50p Yankee. Yesterday I managed a 25-1 double so that would provided a return on the Yankee

The lowest-priced double today pays about 14-1. Doing the trebles and fours and one £1 treble is going to give you back about £50.

    Swansea-newcastle btts away win
    fulham-spurs btts away win

i don’t have any confidence in fulham to even score a goal at the minute. doesn’t look a bad bet for perms though.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Oz, I’m not going to comment on score and win picks – I’ve put up my selections and I wish you good luck with yours.

Mr I really can’t see us conceding a goal tonight at anfield we will make changes to the defence that had a shocker at hull. Brendon rogers won’t be wanting anything less than a clean sheet and a 3-0 to 4-0 score line in my opinion of course

    • Titou 10 years ago

It’s a long shot but with Gerrard’s set pieces Agger to score anytime @ 8/1 looks a great price

I’ll be going for 3 straight ‘both team score’ today with reasonable odds…

    Firstly…England: Swansea vs Newcastle!
Newcastle being the better side between both as the season continues, has scored in all of their away games, asides Etihad stadium, which isn’t new this season to other teams…Swansea don’t seem to wanna lose a home match in the last 5, with just 1 loss, with the away team having better goal scorers, the home team should be lucky enough to net having good assists!

Switzerland: Le Mont LS vs Basel!
This seems like a no go area, but checking the home form of Le Mont, or their form in general, its quite mouth dropping, beating Thun, 4 – 1 at home, Basel should win with the experience and player quality but they should expect a goal from the home side cause they don’t know what to expect…so a bts or an ‘over 2.5’ in this game!

    Greece: Panatolikos vs Atromitos!
This is the tricky one! Every game these teams played themselves have been them both going at each other with a goal, both stubborn, both a challenge to other teams home and away, so this should be a clash with them wanting a goal for themselves!

    Good Luck!

The Hokage, Swansea may score as any team can but remember they are without Michu and Bony, their two main strikers.

    Tonight i’ve gone for:
Man Utd Home win and BTTS
    Chelsea Away win and BTTS
    Derby Home win and BTTS
£10 stake returns £416.50 with Ladbrokes, but this is a very tough bet to have up,hense the 40/1 odds

  6. SteveH 10 years ago

Is there only certain bookies that do the Score & Win or am I just looking in the wrong place on B365?

    • jamie180 10 years ago

SteveH,i only put my bets on in my local Ladbrokes shop but the sheet there is called ‘Result Rush’.The odds are fantastic but the games are hard to pick.

  7. Renegadepro 10 years ago

Jamie180, that’s a pretty decent bet. I might try small stakes on it.

I’ve taken a fiver on a fourfold anytime scorer:

    Rooney
    Suarez
    Negredo
    Ramsey

    17/1

Arsenal and genk btts and win 13/1

Betfred and Sky Bet are the 2 I use for Goals Galore and Team to win.

I wouldnt touch Liverpool atall for the reason they are inconsistant and tend to muck my coupons up all the time.

Chelsea, Spurs & Leeds are my treble for BTTS and Team to win

Win & Both Teams to Score

    Sunderland v CHELSEA

    West Brom v MAN CITY

    Fulham v TOTTENHAM

    £10 returns £360 @ Betfair

So I’m looking at three aways that ‘should’ win on paper.

Looking at Sunderland and Chelsea. Will Chelsea score? I think so, averaging a goal per game away from home in the EPL and they are heavily odds on to win the match. Sunderland have managed to score in their last 5 home games and new manager Gus Poyet has so far got some decent results for the Black Cats most notably that 1-0 home win against a rampant Man City. I expect a tight game 1-2 Chelsea.

On to that rampant Man City, at home yes they are taking apart all before them. So when will they turn that away inferiority in to superiority, well its got to start somewhere and tonight will be tough with West Brom having only lost 1 in their last 5 home games scoring 8 in the process so at least 1 goal shouldn’t be a problem so how do Man City change that away form against such stiff opposition? I think they look back to their record against West Brom last season where they done the double with a 1-2 scoreline at the Hawthorns. I can see the same scoreline tonight.

Finally I’ve took Fulham against Tottenham. The Cottagers have had a disastrous season so far which has seen Martin Jol punted. Will the Fulham players take heart from last nights results? Sheff Wed, Barnsley and Yeovil. Possibly, but we do know Fulham have managed a goal in each of their last 6 Home games, Man Utd & Arsenal included. I don’t think Fulham will have what it takes just yet to turn over Spurs. Tottenham are recovering from that walloping handed to them by Citeh and have had a reasonable 2-2 draw with Man Utd in their last match, we’ll see them continue to press for more goals tonight and capitalize on Fulhams misfortune. Another 1-2 for me here.

A bit of a heavy write up for such a long shot but hey. It’s the first long winded contribution I’ve had on this site and I’ve enjoyed doing a little research and sharing my 2 bobs worth.

    Happy Punting!

JoeX, the way to do score and win is first of all to pick sides you expect to win – after that anything can happen really.

    • JoeX 10 years ago

Hopefully someone took up my Match Result & Both Teams To Score treble I posted earlier.

      Sunderland 3 v CHELSEA 4 WIN

West Brom 2 v MAN CITY 3 WIN

      Fulham 1 v TOTTENHAM 2 WIN

Delighted my first write up came in at 36-1.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

JoeX, it’s a great bet this score and win.
