STRANGELY my big Super Singles seem to be doing better than my Betway treble – even when the single pays more.

That shouldn't be the norm and I'd prefer if both bets came up. There are six or seven sides that looked nailed on this weekend and hopefully I've picked out three of them.

I'm starting with Stoke who were impressive 3-1 winners against Liverpool on Boxing Day despite conceding a second-minute penalty.

Tony Pulis's men have been strong at home all season and are unbeaten with just four goals conceded. A Southampton side that's collected just four points and netted nine goals away is unlikely to leave the Britannia with anything but tales of woe. Stoke are 4-5 at Betway.

I could have thrown in Man United, Cardiff or Sheffield Utd but I'm going north of the border to complete the treble with two sides from the First Division.

First up it's Partick Thistle who are only at the top on goal difference ahead of a Morton outfit who beat them on Boxing Day.

The result wasn't a huge surprise but it will be a shock if the Jags don't return to winning ways at Airdrie.

They beat the Diamonds 7-0 at home earlier in the season and face a side who have lost three in a row with nine goals conceded. Back Thistle at 2-5 with Betway.

Complete the treble with Falkirk who are at home to Dumbarton. Falkirk notched a fine win at Dunfermline on Boxing Day to make it five wins on the spin.

They are at home to a Dumbarton side with the lowest points haul in British football, just five, and this should be a comfortable home win. The Bairns are 3-10 at Betway.

Remember to post your own treble here or at the end of the top tips articles for a chance to win a £10 bet with Betway.

COLCHESTER United’s home game against Swindon Town tomorrow afternoon has been postponed, because of a waterlogged pitch.
      ——————————————-
Right, I’m going to wait till tomorrow, no point putting anything on the football for tomorrow till at least 1pm/2pm.

PORT VALE match against AFC Wimbledon has fallen foul of the weather due to a waterlogged pitch. No new date has yet been agreed.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Milesey, games at Aldershot and Gillingham also off.

    • Milesey 11 years ago

Going to be down to prem Games only and maybe a couple in the championship, nottm for game is in doubt, and that shocks me for it’s normally like a carpet ! Maybe they want it postponed to give MCleish time with the players etc… before his first game in charge.

Stevenage v Notts co will be off, especially when heavy rain is forecasted for tomorrow and the pitch has so much lying water on it already.

Alan, I’m very temped to go with Peterborough again. I have a shortlist that includes Morton and Walsall but Peterborough are tempting at 2-1.

    Hi Paul
Just wondering what you think to a Leicester. Tottenham. Stoke treble. I may throw Swansea in there to boost the odds

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ellis, Stoke and Spurs are among my top tips but Leicester aren’t. Thought that game was difficult to call so left it out.

What do you think about throwing Swansea in there Paul?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ellis, again Swansea aren’t one of top tips. They were fairly poor last week and it could be another draw although no doubt Fulham are struggling.

    • Suresh 11 years ago

Michu might not figure for Swansea due to an ankle injury, I have read. If Fulham push for the win, they should get it.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Suresh, Michu is definitely out which will make it much tougher for Swansea but I can see them getting a point.

Paul, Celtic are 21/10 minus 1 Goal on the Ladbrokes Old Firm Coupon. It looks like a mistake as the same bet is 11/10 almost everywhere. Might be worth a trip to Ladbrokes in the morning mate to see if they honour it. I just wish I had spotted it on Thursday when I picked up the coupons, I might have got the price who knows.

I’ve bet Rangers minus 2 tomorrow against Queens. 6/4 isn’t a great price but I’m on it anyway. There’s no doubt Rangers are streets ahead of the teams they are playing and although minus 2 away from home has only came up twice all season, I still reckon there’s a good chance of it coming in.

Man City are the only other team I fancy. If the minus 2 goes in at lunchtime I will probably lump on City.

    Best of luck to you!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

James, that’s definitely a mistake by Ladbrokes. I’ve actually tipped Celtic -1 in tomorrow’s Record and best price I could see was 23-20 with Ladbrokes online. I fancy Celtic and Rangers on the handicaps but will be steering clear or City after their defeat at Sunderland. Tough place to go is Norwich.

    • Danny 11 years ago

technically Rangers are away from home but hampden is there second home and they will have alot more fans than queens at their own ground so dont let that bother you with the -2

  24. alex walker 11 years ago

If you want a handicap treble sheff u at home against hartlepool plus celtic and rangers looks great to me!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Alex, Sheffield Utd look a good shout and what about Partick at Airdrie.

  25. Arnie 11 years ago

am going for Bradford, Cardiff and Chesterfield(Treble)

Am afraid there may be some postponements.

  26. James Coyle 11 years ago

Paul, if you do get to a Ladbrokes, let me know if you get the 21/10 that’s on the coupon. As you say though, it must be a mistake. You’re not the first person to warn me off Man City. I think I will leave them well alone and stick with Rangers minus two.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

James, heading to one soon so will let you know what they say.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

James, been into Ladbrokes. The 21-10 is seemingly a misprint. They are offering 21-20 if you use the coupon and 10-11 if you don’t!
