ARSENE WENGER meets his nemesis tonight (8pm) but that won't stop me backing Arsenal to beat Chelsea in what could be a pre-Christmas cracker.
The Frenchman has faced Jose Mourinho nine times – and never won (five defeats, four draws).
A 2-0 Capital One Cup defeat back in October continued the hoodoo but the Blues put out a stronger side than Wenger that night.
Arsenal have suffered back-to-back defeats at Napoli and Man City but will be encouraged by the number of goals Chelsea are leaking.
Eight have been shipped to Stoke and Sunderland in recent weeks and even Crystal Palace netted at Stamford Bridge last week.
With the Gunners missing centre-half Laurent Koscielny, as well as Jack Wilshere, there could be goals at either end with Chelsea cracking 12 in their last five although Mourinho says he'll be concentrate on sorting out the defence.
Thomas Vermaelen and Per Mertesacker haven't looked happy together at the back and if he starts Fernando Torres is worth a look at 11-4 with 888sport to score.
Juan Mata has netted in each of his four starts against Arsenal in all competitions for Chelsea and is 5-1 at Betfred to make it five on the bounce.
Theo Walcott scored his first Gunners goal against Chelsea in the 2007 Carling Cup Final and has since netted in three Premier League games against the Blues.
Walcott netted a double in that 6-3 defeat at the Etihad and should start. He is 13-5 with Paddy Power to score.
At the other end Olivier Giroud will test the Blues defence and he is 7-1 at Coral to break the deadlock and it's worth a look.

Bet365 – be careful with the in-play bet. If you read terms and conditions carefully they don’t like bets that guarantee returns. I.e. if you back Arsenal, Draw, Chelsea all through Bet365 you may be breaking the T&Cs. Obviously you can place the third bet elsewhere ;)
Dave, this in-play bet is put up often by bet365 and there have been warnings before about abusing it. As you say their t&cs make it clear what you can and can’t do. Anyone who fully covers their original bet to guarantee a profit with bet365 could have the bets voided. It’s down to their discretion. As I said yesterday I’ll have a normal bet then try to back something at a big price and try to make it pay off. But that’s just me.
Yes Dave, that’s why you need to put your Chelsea bet on with another bookmaker. Just use Bet365 to put on the Arsenal to win before the game and the draw in-play.

Josh, in general terms it’s a low-stakes warning. 1pt depends if you have a staking plan and how you calculate 1pt. For example if you £1000 then 1pt could be a tenner. If you have £20 then 1pt could be £2. It’s up to you how you work out what you can afford. But they advertised the cash in option on the bet, were prepared to offer me a return when Real were drawing on my last team on my five fold yesterday and today the refuse. It’s not on. Really poor marketing and I’m debating taking it further with them.

Well what a rubbish game
Mr F they failed to offer me a cash out at any time on my 5 fold, all went in play and 4 came in, I needed 1 goal and got offered zilch. It’s appealing marketing on their behalf at William Hill and I’ll be avoiding them at all costs from now on. At no stage did they offer me a penny which isn’t on. No point having the system if they fail to respond to it. I’m gutted to be honest and I’ve spoken with them and they won’t do anything about it. If only Giroud could have been on it tonight lol! I’ve had a great weekends betting so I’m trying to not let it bother me but I think it’s a sham from them. Yesterday I chose not to cash out the offer they gave as I was about too and then Madrid scored and won my full bet for me. Just ironic that same situation today they offered me nothing at all.

Ramsey and rosicky were largely anonymous and Arteta seemed to only pass backwards but no substitutions made.
Against the more defensive teams we struggle to score the opening goal usually relying on brilliance or a mistake and I expect more of the same against west ham on Boxing Day :/

People really need to read the terms and conditions. A free bet doesn’t appear in your account. You needed to make an in-play bet with your own money and that would be refunded if it loses. That is the ‘free bet’.
the worst game of football i have seen in a long time.well since saturdays celtic and hearts game.in all honesty i dont think the standard of the english premiership is all that great for the money thats been spent.for me the german and spanish leagues are far superior.
