I'VE had a miserable run on the Saturday trebles compared to the weekend tips.

Teams seem to be hit by bad luck or go off form the minute I feature them here.

But with hopefully with Christmas round the corner I can notch a winner today. I'm starting with a Blackpool side who have been impressive since Michael Appleton took charge.

They needed a last-minute goal to earn a draw at Crystal Palace and remain unbeaten under the new boss, although five of their last six have been score draws.

Blackpool face a Blackburn side who have benefited from a change of boss. Steve Kean was universally unpopular with fans but Henning Berg's arrival has seen the team move in the wrong direction despite the scoring exploits of Jordan Rhodes.

You can have Blackpool at 1-1 with Betway and that's a price that interests me. With an evens shot in the bag I'm adding two short-priced favourites in a bid to notch a win.

First up it's Championship leaders who are 7-20 (or slightly better than 1-3 in old money) at home to Peterborough. Cardiff, of course, boast a 100 per cent home record with 10 wins out of 10 and have won four of their last five overall.

Peterborough are back at the foot of the table after four defeats in five and Darren Ferguson faces a real struggle to stay up.

Complete the treble with MK Dons at home to Hartlepool in League One. MK were unlucky to go down 3-2 at fellow promotion hopefuls Brentford but should get back on track against a side like Peterborough rooted to the foot of the table.

Again the appointment of a new manager, in this case former Hibs and Livingston boss John Hughes, has had no effect on results and Pool look doomed as they are now 10 points adrift of safety. Like Cardiff you can have 7-20 on MK Dons and it will be a major shock if they don't win.

Remember to post your own treble for a chance to win a £10 bet with Betway.

    Celtic -2? Cant believe looking at the tables theres only been 13 goals in Celtic’s 7 SPL matches this season

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

      David, Celtic have scored seven goals in seven SPL games which is quite incredible. However, they beat St Mirren 5-0 earlier this season and under Neil Lennon haven’t dropped a point or conceded a goal to the Buddies. To me -2 has a chance if Celtic have their game head on.

    @David Burza

    Go to most Celtic games. and with europe dealt with – which was priority, I can see Celtic giving us something to cheer about with a clean sheet and anything between 3 and 5. Home form has been terrible and NL, players included have taken note. Celtic from now until late January will be great to back with minus 2 IMO. Got a feeling – Got to go with it.

    Nonetheless, all the best with weekend bets :)

    Don’t usually do handicaps on my accumulators, first 1 i did was Arsenal – 1 on Tuesday so u should forgive me if i seem sceptical

  16. David Burza 12 years ago

    Well heres hopimg their minds are back on Europe by the time 3rd of February comes around ;)

  17. David Burza 12 years ago

    To be fair, it’s 1 of those games where it could be 1-0 or 5-0, and i know champions league is done until February, but it finally looks like Celtic have gotten over their Champions League hangovers

    Definetly mate, but thats what makes football the beautiful game it is. Arsenal should have been a banker minus 1 on tuesday, but it is what is lol. Couldnt agree more, am just going to sit back and enjoy the ride when the CL comes along. Happy days

  20. David Burza 12 years ago

    Well heres hoping they underestimate Raith in the Scottish, scored 4 the last time but only Hooper scored (forgetting the fact our goal took a massive deflection lol)

  21. bob 12 years ago

    Id be very careful about placing any scottish tips in the bottom 3 divisions people,for 1 the standard of teams are very poor so their form is very inconsistant also the amount of red cards each week are shocking and have led to manys a coupon being binned as mr fixit knows only too well as his saturday scottish tips go belly up nearly every week,just stating a fact about the scottish tips,id avoid them if i were you

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

      Bob, they’re no tougher to predict than any other league. Good for both teams to score as well, especially Second and Third Division.

  22. Seamus 12 years ago

    Hahaha! Remember that game. In all honesty Celtic should not be feared these days, Arbroath have shown that. But fancy the tic for that lol. Anyways, good luck with your treble and hope you spank the bookie – over and out :)!

    Think I’ll go for a couple of favourites then a draw to boost the value up a bit.

    Man City – 1.65
    Liverpool – 1.35
    Aberdeen/Kilmarnock DRAW – 3.30

    Treble = 7.35

    Paul/Admin, I won this competition three weeks ago but still haven’t heard anything from yourselves. Can you help me out please?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

      Graham H, if it’s the bet365 contest they are putting through all the winners on one date a month so it can take four weeks depending on what day you won.
