ONCE again I picked up trebles in midweek but missed out on the Saturday.
Maybe weekend results have been worse than midweek although it usually works out the other way round.
Anyway I'm back for more and kick off with a Bolton outift beginning to climb the table under Dougie Freedman, who took Crystal Palace to the top of the pile before leaving.
Bolton are now unbeaten in six and their last defeat came at Middlesbrough. Wednesday's victory at local rivals Blackburn will have them buzzing and the impovement can continue against an Ipswich side who have done well at home since Mick McCarthy but struggled away.
In their last two on the road they've conceded 11 without reply to Leicester and Palace so that must be a worry for the ex-Wolves gaffer.
Next take a Partick Thistle side who face Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup a couple of weeks after hammering them 5-1 at the same venue. Little has changed since them so you have to fancy the Jags to notch their third win of the season against Jim Jefferies' men.
Finally, add Dundee Utd at Stranraer in the Cup. The odds aren't great but it's better than expected for a match betwen two sides poles apart.
Second Division Stranraer have won just one in five and although a visit to Stair Park will be a culture shock for some of the SPL stars boss Peter Houston will have his troops well prepared.
United will be without Gary Mackay-Steven but up front the likes of Jon Daly and Jonny Russell are good enough to grab goals.

Mr Fixit, tell me why bookies have such a big price on Partick Thistle in the scottish cup? They are unbeaten at home and won against Dunfermline 5:1.
Tommy, Jags will be that price because in essence it’s first v second while in cup games form sometimes goes out of the window. For me they’re a good bet simply because of their 100 per cent home record. But despite that 5-1 scoreline there probably isn’t much between the teams and if the Pars played to their best on the day they are capable of getting a result. So good odds but bookies will feel it’s not banker material.
