THE first strike in the challenge has been struck by Rod (Punting For Fun) who picked a nice double on Monday.
After Anderlecht beat his fourfold on Sunday he put 10 points on Maccabi Tel Aviv and Zamalek to win at 1.86.
I was away all day yesterday and wasn't able to press Lee for his long shot (if truth be told I was so busy I forget to call him) but it will be business as usual on Tuesday.
He was also unlucky on Sunday with his first two legs winning – Matt Smith to score for Bristol City and Lyon not to lose but he was let down by Algeria.
Rod and Lee are playing to see which type of betting will profit over the course of the month with £50 of betting vouchers going to Rod if he wins.
Lee's single or accumulator must be a minimum 10-1 and Punting For Fun's can be as short as he wants but must be odds on.
Tips must be posted every day – if anyone misses out Lee will be deducted one point (but not yesterday as that was my fault) and Punting For Fun five points.

Right going for another 4 timer and hopefully 1 team will not decide to scupper the bet like Sunday did.
At least we are up and running now and hopefully i can get a run going only issue that has been pointed out by some on here is the more teams the chance of 1 team going south increases as was the case on Sunday so maybe the way to go is just sticking to 1 or 2 selections but we will see what happens with this bet before i decide to bin any more than 2 selections.

Well that experiment didn’t go to plan 1/14 shot goes spectaculary wrong the reason i tried this was with the other 3 teams i picked were about 1.6 odds so i thought i would shove a real xhort odds banker with a double chance ie the draw would be no bet as i thought the very worst young boys would get a draw and the other 3 would still have a shout but it turned out to be a total disaster.
For the sake of such a short price add to the treble turned out not worth the risk in the end also the young boys game was a friendly but still they were playing a team last in the challenge league and i never thought a defeat would be on the cards :-(

Hilly the idea was just a bit fun and an experiment but you are entitled to your opinion m8 and I respect that. You may actually have a point as you say how many times does a odds on shot let you down but its early doors and your train of thought is well appreciated as it gives us all on the site another opinion to look at and IMHO that’s what it is all about ideas and opinions.
To be fair after looking at the selections I like them.

Also hilly I had 4 out of 4 on a corner market on Sunday as well and I was in two minds about posting 1 of them as they are all 5/6 in that market but you only get 9 mins worth of bet and I thought about this for a long time and decided to not go on that route at the time.
Then I got to thinking that mmmmmmm now maybe my luck on the corner bet has been spot on so far but maybe that run needed to be left alone for a bit as 4 from 4 is pretty good at 5/6 each and gives a 10/1 accy so I left it alone.
And rightly so because I looked at the Malaga game for corner b4 9 mins and it lost so it was a good call to leave it alone.
But remember it is only a bit of fun and I would leave it alone for betting purposes tbh

John, depends on the match but usually on FT result with lower odds. Like if I lost that -1.25 1H handicap, I would have covered that with a ManU to win at FT.
