YOU might not realise it but the English football season kicks off on Friday night with Crawley Town taking on AFC Wimbledon.
The League Two new boys are playing off to see who takes part in the Carling Cup first round due to Birmingham's involvement in Europe.
Crawley have possibly been the most hyped team of the summer and are hot favourites to win League Two courtesy of their spending power.
But will they live up to their billing against a Wimbledon side who battled to promotion by winning the play-offs and who have beaten Watford and Fulham pre-season.
Crawley are a biggest 8-11 with the likes of bodog, Paddy Power and Ladbrokes while AFC are as big as 4-1 with Ladbrokes and Betfred.
I think Crawley will edge it but let's go for a positive start to the campaign and both teams scoring at 10-11 with William Hill.
