MRF CharityBet

THIS weekend sees the start of a new initiative on the site, where Silver and Gold Members will get the chance to win money for their favourite charity. I've teamed up with Ladbrokes to launch Mr Fixit's Charity Bet and the first member to step up to the plate is @jolo210.

@jolo210 is a Gold Member and he nominated his preferred charity earlier in the week when I asked Members to suggest which charity they'd like to bet on behalf of. @jolo210 was chosen at random and he's doing it on behalf of a very worthy cause, the British Heart Foundation.

@jolo210 has a £25 free bet at Ladbrokes and he's opted to go with Celtic to win and Both Teams to Score in Saturday's Glasgow Derby at 21-10 with Ladbrokes. Let's wish him lots of luck and hope that we can get this new project off to a winning start.

How to take part

To be in the draw for next week's Charity Bet, Silver and Gold Members should simply post their chosen charity in the comments section below. I'll choose one lucky member from those that have nominated a charity. That member will then choose a bet, which will be placed at Ladbrokes, to the value of £25. This can be either a single, double or treble. If the bet wins we'll send the winnings on to the nominated charity. Any winnings will not include the stake.

Get involved and do your bit.
