ONE of our favourite places for goals last season was the Aussie lower leagues and they get back to league business in Brisbane after a washout to last week's supposed openers.
There's been a complete restructuring of the game in Brizzy this season, something even they seemed to manage with ease while the powers that be in Scotland still flap about and come up with farcical ideas to change the set-up.
This morning sees Brisbane City take on Brisbane Olympic in the opening game of the Queensland Premier League. This hotly-contested derby match has seen goals galore over the last few years with the last three matches ending 4-2, 4-3 & 4-2 and is a game that involves teams followed by the Greek community (Olympic)a gainst the Italian community (City) of Brisbane.
City are a very young and inexperienced side this season and conceded 4,3 & 2 during the recent Brisbane Silver Boot pre-season competition where they lost two and drew one.
They come up against an experienced Olympic side who have recruited well during pre-season and managed two victories including a 7-1 win over newcomers Moreton Bay and a 3-2 win over last season's losing Brisbane Premier League Grand finalists Rochedale Rovers.
Olympic should be winning this match by a few but more importantly this is a game that should follow recent years and see goals.
Bet365 have this game in-play tomorrow at 10.15am and with only O2.5FT prices available just now at odds of 13-40 you're going to have to wait until this comes in-play to get a bit of value.
O3.5FT goals should come in round the evens or 10-11 mark and should sail home here. If Bet365 are feeling brave and offer a goals spread we'd even have a go at O4.5FT goals and the first-half goals market if the odds hold up for evens or thereabouts for O1.5HT.
Recommendations
Over 3.5 match goals @ Evs or 10/11
Over 4.5 match goals @ 12/5
Over 1.5 half-time goals @ Evs or 10/11
The only match i can find that i’d be able to get any sort of in play action is the game between Adelaide Comets v Adelaide Cobras, any ideas?
Why is that John, you not have a Bet365 account? If you’re wanting to get in on some of the more obscure action then a 365 account is a must mate.
As for the Comets v Cobras game here’s the stats..

have mates who played brisbane premier league last season and city were an accomplished team at that level. Have taken a supposed step up in entering the queensland prem. Also know that former Ipswich, hibernian and conference journeyman Antonio Murray was playing with Brsbane City last 2 seasons and was scoring a lot of goals and standing out at this level. Unsure if he’s signed on for this season however. Not the greatest standard of football and most games go over 2.5
Only have access to paddy power live betting, found a few Australian lower divisions games on it but i’ll have to look up soccerway and see what i can find to help me out on whatever games pop up
Towards the end of last season you’d be very lucky to find a game in the Brisbane Premier that wasn’t around the Evs mark for O4.5 goals Hank. It’s looking like an O3.5 shot here for just under Evs and that can’t be sniffed at..
Soccerway’s no use for the majority of Aussie lower leagues John, this is what you want to be using mate. Not the prettiest thing you’ll see online but has all the main leagues, reserve leagues and even some youth action that could well be needed as the season gets going..

Bounty punter, for Brisbane Premier League and Brisbane Premier Division 1 id recommend a site named http://www.thewashingline.com.au….strangely named I know.

Your right about it not being pretty, it looks pretty hard to use but i’ll get the hang of it
DENMARK.
How about a team placed third in the best league having conceded 4 more than they have scored. That’s Randers and the Danish Superliga for you – a league where only FC Copenhagen can be “trusted”.
Randers are 6-1-3 at home but are still not having my vote (money) at home against a side who have earned 76% of their points on the road and whos only home win of the season was against Randers by a crushing 6-1.
No, my money are yet again on over 2.5 goals and for good reason. Randers have played 60% of their home games are one reason but Sonderjyskes 80% over 2.5 on the road are all the stat I need to find value in this game.
Randers – Sonderjyske (5.30 UK)
Over 2.5 goals
Odds: 1,95
Stake: €21.00 (or 4.20% from my fixed €500.00 bankroll for this series)
More examples on how I’m working the stakes can be found on this friendly blog:

The Dane, for a minute I thought Rangers had moved to Denmark. Looks a good shout anyway.
Thanks for the “you don’t argue with the Dane” statement :-)
I like to think that’s correct when it comes to how much to invest and when.
The Dane.
the Dane. think im gonna go a level 20 quid stake on each of your selections for ease of use. going by the prices and your percentage staked each time i dont therr will be a lot of difference at the end of the day
i,m using BET365 for the odds and will keep a record
first one up the road at 17/20 on Wednesday
robbert miller, you do that but I can assure you there’s a difference – or how does 250-350% higher return sounds like?
yep, your spot on when i think about it your first stake was 28 euros and this one is 21 euros so it will make a difference at the end of the day
need to make decision before tonites game to obtain a level of consistency
A goal short in Randers tonight but will be back tomorrow.
Notice the negative result if bet placed at level stake but because of my staking plan a small profit.
The Dane.
The Dane, I knew I should have taken the Rangers game instead. Just hoping my treble comes up for a nice profit. All in just now but one goal can change everything.
Just been on bet365 they only have under and over 2.5 goals. Il look to get on over 3.5 in-play
The Dane, yep just after i made the posting about level stakes i got my second wind and realised i had made a simple arithmetical mistake
tomorrow is another day
Found the City vs. Olympic game on Bwin. Got 4/5 on over 3.5 goals! That was before the match had started, not in-play!
Also just found the City vs. Olympic match on Hills where the price for over 3.5 goals is now 2/5 in-play! Was 0-1 after 11 minutes!
Half time 1-2! Over 3.5 goals looking very good! Glad i got on when i did at 4/5. Odds for over 3.5 goals now 1/9 in-play!
Good shout this. Will be keeping a eye on this
Booom!!!! 2-2 on the hour mark. Easy money!!!!
put 20 quid on over 1.5 at have time
20 on over 3.5 goals and 20 quid on over 4.5 goals
cheers got some money for the ac milan game now :D
Bloody hell sir, outstanding!!
I just opted for a single on Olympic, should have done your 3 tips too
On the way to recover after Sau Paulo desimated my pot last night!
Thanks chief :)
I did a single on Olympic and a single at over 4.5 goals about 5 minutes into the game so I’ve doubled my (small) stake :D. Was considering Olympic -1 but no sense in being greedy as I’ll always be happy with a profit. Nice work Bounty!
what was the final score? kept dissapearing on bet365 in-play. im sure the match is still being played right now but no where to be seen on bet365 in-play
Doesn’t matter if its a small stake Pat, a win is a win – good work! :)
Absolutely Greg! My biggest flaw has been chasing bigger wins and it almost always ends badly!
It is 5-2 to Brisbane Olympic Madi, 89 minutes played. http://www.flashscore.com is great for finding live scores in unknown leagues.
cheers
cant find it on flash scores tho !
final score 6-2
Way to go bounty punter
Flyboivince, great start for the Bounty Hunter. Could be my best signing of the season! His tips for his first post today were: Brisbane Olympic v City
Over 3.5 match goals @ Evs or 10/11
Over 4.5 match goals @ 12/5
Over 1.5 half-time goals @ Evs or 10/11
All wins.
Excellent start. Got the over 1.5 in the first haf but at haf time it disappeared from the inplay at half time on bet365.
Lovely to have the lower league Aussie stuff back and for anyone who hasn’t got involved in any of this action before hopefully this has been a good insight into why there’s value to be found here. Possibly played a bit safe today on this one and could’ve went higher but a win’s a win as they say.
The other game today involving Brisbane sides saw Peninsula Power beat North Star 5-1 in the Brisbane Premier League so it looks as though these guys ain’t lost their touch in front of goal and still haven’t worked out the art of defending, which will do us!
Glad a few of you got on and got some nice early morning winners.. BP
Mr fix I backed Olympic to win was all I could get from betvictor . Great start
Flyboivince, you really need to think about getting yourself a Bet365 account if you want to be taking full advantage of some of these Aussie lower league markets. Bet365 cover by the far the most of these games though you will find some on Paddy Power and Hills.
BP
Sure I will
Have got one but I can’t seem to place a bet from my current location (Israel) but will have my sis do itt on here as she has a bet365
missed the bounty hunters tips. didnt see them at the top of the page.
Arnie, Bounty Punter posted his copy late on Thursday night. Don’t think the prices were available before them.
