Saturdays Bet of the Day features a goal based selection in Italy doubled up with Portuguese giants eyeing a crucial 3 points.
Genoa vs Atalanta
🇮🇹 Serie A
⏰ Saturday 15th May, 14:00
14th placed Genoa host 2nd placed Atalanta at the Marassi. Genoa secured another season in Serie A with a 0-2 win away to Bologna in midweek. Atalanta on the other hand sit 2nd and know victory in their last 2 games will secure Champions League football and the runners up spot.
Genoa are actually on a good run in finding the back of the net. They’ve scored in their last 10 games and have actually scored in all but one of their 18 home games (0-2 defeat to champions inter in match week 4) scoring 26 goals. Genoa have only kept 3 clean sheets at home and have conceded in all 7 games against the top 8 conceding 14 goals.
Atalanta are unbeaten in their last 10 since defeat at champions inter. In those games Atalanta have scored a whopping 26 goals. They have however conceded in 6 of those games conceding 9 goals as well as conceding in their last 4 games away. Only champions Inter (41) have scored more goals away from Atalanta (37) in Serie A this season.
Rio Ave vs Porto
🇵🇹 Liga NOS
⏰ Saturday 15th May, 20:30
Big game in Portugal at both ends of the table as Porto travel to Rio Ave. Porto know a win will seal 2nd spot and Champions League football for next season. Meanwhile, Rio Ave sit 3 points above the relegation zone but only 1 point above Boavista who currently occupy the relegation play off zone.
Rio Ave are on a bad run of form at the wrong time of the season as they are currently winless in their last 10. Rio Ave have only won 4 home games all season but none of those victories were against the current top 8 in which they’ve scored only 2 goals. Benfica and Champions Sporting have already recorded 0-3 and 0-2 victories at the Estádio do Rio Ave.
Porto are currently unbeaten in their last 26 Liga NOS matches winning 19. Porto are on a good run of form unbeaten in their last 11 games winning 9. Porto have won all 8 matches away to sides in the bottom half conceding only 3 goals and scoring 19 times in those matches.
Bet of the Day
Comes as no surprise I’m backing goals in a game involving Atalanta. Can see Genoa getting on the scoresheet but I’m backing overs to be safe as Atalanta are capable of scoring 3 goals themselves. In Portugal I’m backing Porto to secure the runners up spot and qualify for next season’s champions league by grabbing all 3 points.
- Genoa vs Atalanta over 2.5 goals
- Porto to win
- Double pays 11/10 (William Hill)
Great selection 😁👍

Clean Boooom…. for a day.
