BARCELONA are the 3-1 favourites to defend their Champions League trophy – and I'll tell you right now they'll be difficult to beat.

There's no sign of the side being broken up yet and coach Pep Guardiola will be at the Nou Camp for another year at least.

Runners-up Manchester United are 6-1 with Ladbrokes and it's 4-7 they progress further in the tournament than Manchester City (5-4).

United are also 1-1 to win any major trophy next year (8-11 not to).

Despite the Final being a losing result for the bookies they remain upbeat on the back of impressive turnover levels.

Ladbrokes spokesman Alex  Donohue said: “The correct score and first goal wasn't the end of the world for us.

“More importantly, if this is an indication of turnover for big matches in future we're happy to take the hit in the short term. In-play figures were also encouraging.”

Ladbrokes outrights: Barcelona 3-1, Manchester United 6-1, Chelsea 6-1, Real Madrid 7-1, Manchester City  10-1, AC Milan 16-1, Inter Milan 20-1 Arsenal 20-1 .
