GOLDEN OLDIE Alan McManus is through to his first snooker World Championship semi-final in 23 years after edging out fellow Scot and title favourite John Higgins in a thriller.
McManus – a 300-1 shot before the tournament began – is now 14s at Sportingbet for glory and 9-2 at marathonbet to make it past last-four opponent Ding Junhui (1-5, Stan James).
Ding tops the title betting at 13-10 (marathonbet) followed by world No.1 Mark Selby, who is 7-4 at Skybet and takes on Marco Fu in today's semis.

I would love to see McManus win this title however 7/4 for Selby is a very good price. Selby has admitted he’s not been playing his best snooker this tournament however he’s number 1 in world for a reason! What you thinking @jordan. Is it worth a few points?

Posted this on the football thread but had a few quid on Corey Coleman being the 1st WR taken. Currently 3/1, reasons are up on the other thread, but basically, think teams will value explosive speed rather than route running, hence the bet. But its only small stake for a bit of interest.
