IT'S always disappointing to lose a Super Single but Thursday's felt like it was beaten by a referee's mistake. So now I know how Celtic are feeling after their weekend injustice.
The decision to send off Dynamo Kiev's Jermaine Lens for a first-half dive when he seemed to win a penalty was harsh and there and then I felt my both teams to score tip was down.
Fiorentina netted quickly against 10 men and to be fair to Kiev they gave it a go in the final 10 minutes and came close to scoring three or four times before the Italians sealed a 2-0 win in injury time.
I correctly predicted both to score at Napoli and Zenit but the prices were nowhere evens and also suggested no to both to score at Dnipro – so it was ironic the one I chose for the Super Single was the only loser. Thanks ref!
On Friday there is one game in Scotland and I'll have a separate preview on Hamilton v Motherwell and there are the usual goal-laden lower-league games in Holland to look at.
Big games elsewhere are Mainz v Schalke, Cordoba v Athletic Bilbao and Marseille v Lorient and at first glance nothing obvious shouts at me for any of those games.
My focus is now on my Saturday Daily Record column but I've had a quick look at Friday's games and picked out a 1pt treble. I'm starting with Athletic Bilbaoa at a Cordoba side who haven't won in 14 and whose last two at home finished in 2-0 defeats to Elche and Atletico Madrid.
Bilbao's away record isn't the best but Cordoba almost look down and out and the visitors should be good enough to pick up the points.
There has been a lot of talk on the site about Cork v Dundalk (second v first) and it should be a cracker.I was thinking draw but cheers to Harry for putting up stats that make both to score difficult to resist. He pointed out Cork have scored in their last 32 league home games and in their last six at game against the champions they’ve score 1, 2, 3, 3, 2 and 1. Both to score pays evens at Betfred.
Complete the treble with Swedish champions Malmo at Falkenberg. Malmo have started the season well and should easily beat a side they hammered 3-0 at home and 5-2 away last season. They are 1-2 at Betfred.

Not a tip but I thought the ref got it right, said it was a blatant dive and a booking before the ref made a call (nothing like the decision at Hampden on Sunday because the five or six officials got it wrong). I think Kyiv scored from a deflection in the first game with the stats favouring Fiorentina and thought it was unlikely Kyiv would score last night even with eleven.

Harry – I agree mate that is my one concern, especially when I look at Hull’s remaining fixtures, and Burnley face Leicester tomorrow too meaning one of them (or both) will make up ground on Hull. However, Palace are looking for a top 10 finish and I don’t think Pardew is the type of manager to allow his teams levels to drop. Harry, I’ve had a quick look at the Irish games and I’d say Cork could score – they have a 100 per cent home record with 12 goals from four games. Dundalk will be their toughest test but they can get something from the game.
Cork have scored in 35/37 of their premier division home games. Yes, they can score.
Harry I fancy Auxerre to score too along with the team thats bottom of the Polish league. Might sound crazy but check that game out they are top of the current form table and should score I actually think they could well win at a decent price too

Capone, Shams were lucky. Poor refereeing cost Dundalk a man and a penalty that (apparently) should never have been. The only other goal Dundalk conceded was another ‘foul’ as a throw in that led to the goal was taken from on the pitch.

They could be missing a few players. Karl Sheppard is due a fitness test and he has scored 3 in 7 so would be a loss if missing but they have a bigger squad than Man City so so should have a few in reserve.
John O Flynn is also due a fitness test but they have scored 8 or 9 goals from midfield this season with Kieran Djaalji and Billy Dennehy goal threats. I think theyll score

Davros, for me it was only Motherwell and Malmo. Couldn’t touch Marseille on current form but 5-3 at home to Lorient is a shocker. Also surprising Gignac didn’t get one of them.

Evening Guys, Checked the scores and while I couldn’t touch Marseille having lost 3 in a row, when I saw they scored 3 at home I was disappointed Gignac didn’t score. So that’s both scorers lose tonight, which is disappointing.
Have Palace played better away from home under Pardew? Looking at their past 5 home games they’ve lost 3, won v Man City (which was very very lucky) and beat QPR who have the worst away record in the league.
What I mean is do Palace play better on the counter attack when the home team is pushing forward. I can’t see Bruces Hull playing a high line. Surely they’d take a draw away from home at this stage???

Tee it doesn’t work for me but thanks. Wonder if it only works if you haven’t used sky bet for a while. Still peeved as they are not paying out on Benteke as first goal scorer in the FA cup semi final when Boylesports did. Boylesports say on their website “Our traders decided, fairly, to award first goal to both players and whilst it resulted in us taking a serious hit, we felt it was only right considering the dubious nature of the opening goal.” It kind of implies other bookies decided unfairly to stick to the PA decision rules despite coutinho’s strike clearly going wide. I know at least one instance when Mr Fixit helped in a similar instance 18 months ago when st mirrens Stephen Thomson should clearly have been credited fgs when the PA got it wrong. mr fixit if this is a different case and I should let it go let me know else if you can help i would be greatly obliged.
