Racing Tips: Riversway looks the value play at Doncaster

It was nice to land another winner yesterday with Significantly who won at a drifted price of 4/1. He was well handicapped and won quite nicely in the end after travelling up well against the rail.

My main fancy Boyfriend was massively disappointing. I tipped him up at 3/1 and mentioned he was one of the weaker prices towards the head of the market. However, the money came and he was backed into favourite. I'm not really sure what went wrong. He was going okay up to halfway then came off the bridle and ended up finishing last of the pack. The form of his debut race was strong so maybe it's worthwhile drawing a line through the run and keeping an eye on him next time out.

There's some nice racing on tomorrow at Sandown and Doncaster with some regular names on show however after running over the cards I thought a lot of it was minefield material and opted to just play one selection tomorrow that I thought was a bit overpriced in the market.

Riversway 11/2 – 2:55 Doncaster

When analysing form for horse races it's always worth checking recent stable form and at present, the Julie Camacho yard are on a purple patch.

This is a very competitive race. At the prices, I think Riversway is a good bet to take on the short-priced favourite Pure Angel. Riversway got back to winning ways last time out at Haydock and although hit with a 4lb rise I don't think it's too harsh to stop her putting in another bold run.

Pure Angel is probably a worthy favourite based on recent form but at 6/4 I thought it was a tad on the short side. Sparkling Red and Holy Fire are also two consistent types who come into this with decent recent form under their belts.
