To see Carlisle abandoned was a shame, as it made my double turn into a single, which was definitely not worth backing. Twig did end up winning and that would've meant Tommy's Oscar would've been the horse to land the double, but it's not the end of the world and I didn't really see anything else on the other cards which was deemed as value.
Huntingdon 1:37
I'm fairly certain Thundersockssundae will be extremely popular for punters who have ‘muggy' accas as he arrives to Huntingdon on the back of a recent win over today's course and distance and comes from a yard which currently leads the NH trainers championship (Fergal O'Brien), however at the odds I will like to take him on with WILLIAM CODY.
Pam Sly is an underrated trainer, even though she has won big races in the past, and does well when sending her runners over obstacles. There was strong market vibes around William Cody on chase debut at Market Rasen, and when the vibes are strong from this yard they generally don't miss, or they get the money back next time around. As chase debuts go, he did nothing wrong at all, he jumped nice all the way round and probably bumped into a horse who was a tad well-handicapped. The latter part might sound daft as the winner was tailed off before unseating his rider. I wouldn't look into that form because as soon as he made a bad mistake at one fence it seemed to have knocked his confidence and he continued to jump the fences in a bad way. The way he won at Market Rasen would suggest he was ahead of the handicapper and for William Cody to finish 2nd (though it was 20L) it was a good start to his chase career.
That run at Market Rasen was his first run from 162 days so he was entitled to have come on for that run. He hasn't been rushed back into another race, and has been given 24 days rest which would've allowed Pam and her team to perfect his jumping for this race.
Flann comes from the Fergal O'Brien yard and is making his chase debut so is probably best watched, but I do get the impression he could be well-handicapped off a mark of 101. He ran well to finish 2nd to Kamaxos at Market Rasen (beaten by 18L) but I felt like that was a good effort, and he has since come down 9lbs in the handicap. I'll be keeping an eye out on his jumping and making a note as a potential horse to back in the neat future.
3:15 Hereford Highstakesplayer 1 Pt. Win
3:22 Fairyhouse Hard Target 0.5 Pt. E/W
8:00 Chelmsford Vaynor 1 Pt. Win
* Those final few metres, in the final race, were a bit scary at times. Vaynor held off the valiant effort by Fairmac though, and crossed the line a winner.
1:45 Hereford – Bretney
2:07 Huntingdon – Boombawn
6:00 Chelmsford – Bedazzling

Hunt 3.07 Say Nothing – 7/1 e/w (5 places, SkyBet)
Should be fit, ran a good race LTO and is dropped in class here. This is an egg and spoon race so if reproducing his last run he looks sure to be involved in the finish.
Hopefully numbers 3 and 1 will place first race?♂️

Good shout v the favourite Rizzle and good old BOG as the kids put it, took it in a single and a treble for small stakes but max profit with what were 2 odds on shots that went of 15/8 and 6/5 in 12.20 and 3.15 ? ?
?? 5/6 in the favourite Acca was let down by the shortest odds horse,a 4/7 was 2nd I think?
The rest won well and some at better prices so 5 fold paid well but 2/4 with a void in main bet was money back basically and single flopped.

Should say …Great name for a horse Maythehorsebwithu and looking at Bet365 with 6/4 and others as low as 4/7 to 4/5 I don’t think they’ve realised or rather factored in the main Danger according to some people is now NR?
Stinegate was my worry with the NR so still offering 6/4 seems like it will change but what do I know?
