Ligue 1 outright winner

Perennial French champions Paris Saint-Germain have had their lead at the top of Ligue 1 cut to five points, however they remain the bookmakers' overwhelming favourites to retain their crown.

Let's take a look at the latest outright winner odds.

Best Ligue 1 outright winner odds

PSG – 1/5

Despite drawing each of their last two games in Ligue 1, the title race is a foregone conclusion as far as the bookmakers are concerned.

While this is far from a vintage PSG team, they will take some stopping in their pursuit of yet another title. Luis Enrique’s side have won 10 of their opening 14 top-flight games of the season and are the only side in Ligue 1 yet to taste defeat this term.

Monaco – 11/1

Monaco remain second favourites behind PSG at a best price of 11/1. The Red and Whites returned  to winning ways in Ligue 1 with a 2-0 win over Toulouse on Saturday. Consequently, Adi Hutter’s side are still in third spot, level on points with second-placed Marseille.

However, it's worth noting that the Principality club have lost three of their last seven league games, so they make little appeal at the current odds on offer.

Best Monaco odds to win Ligue 1 without PSG: 11/10

Marseille – 12/1

Marseille have been trimmed into 12/1 shots in their pursuit of a first Ligue 1 title for 15 years. The Phocaeans' Jekyll and Hyde' performances have made their fixtures increasingly difficult to assess from a betting perspective. They have won just two of their six home games to date, while they have triumphed in seven of their eight road matches.

If Roberto de Zerbi’s side can sort out their home form during the second half of the season, then they should be in the mix to finish ‘best of the rest’

Best Marseille odds to win Ligue 1 without PSG: 7/4

Lille– 40/1

While Lille are closing in on both Monaco and Marseille, reeling in PSG looks like a bridge too far. Bruno Genesio’s side have avoided defeat in each of their last 10 Ligue 1 games, however, they have drawn four of those 10  matches, two of which were on home turf.

That being said, the 2021 French kings offer value at 5/1 in the without PSG betting market, especially with Jonathan David spearheading their attack.

Who will win Ligue 1? Here’s our prediction

It’s hard to look past Paris Saint-Germain for another Ligue 1 title despite their recent slip-ups, but they are simply unbackable at the odds on offer.

Instead, look to Marseille in the without PSG betting at 7/4. Roberto de Zerbi’s side seized the initiative in the battle to be the ‘best of the rest’ by beating nearest rivals Monaco two weeks ago and they have since earned a 2-0 win away at St Etienne.  If they can keep picking up points at home moving forward, then Marseille should be primed to take second place, especially with no European football to contend with this season, unlike their challengers.
