KevMac previews this weekend's top flight action in Scotland as well as Sunday's Premier Sports Cup a Hampden

Hibernian v Celtic

DAVID GRAY is the ultimate Hampden hero for Hibs fans after his last-gasp Scottish Cup winner in 2016 ended 114 years of hurt.

Now he has the chance to cement his legendary status by leading the Hibees to their next piece of silverware in tomorrow’s League Cup Final.

But McBookie don’t fancy his chances with Gray’s team 23/10 outsiders to lift the trophy and Celtic just 1/3.

And the caretaker gaffer’s dream could be ruined by another man who sealed Hampden glory just minutes from the end of another memorable final.

A year on from Gray’s seismic header against Rangers, Tom Rogic picked the ball up for Celtic and weaved his way through

Aberdeen’s defence before firing home to win the Scottish Cup and deliver an Invincible Treble.

With the Hoops now in the midst of an injury crisis, it will be the Aussie they will look to for inspiration once more as Ange Postecoglou looks to win his first trophy since taking charge.

Rogic was sensational when these sides last met, running the show in a 3-1 Easter Road victory before being forced off with an injury.

He has also been crucial in the last two games for Celtic, scoring the winner against Motherwell then setting up a stoppage-time winner for Anthony Ralston at Ross County in midweek.

Rogic is 7/2 with Paddy Power for anytime scorer at Hampden but I’m more drawn to the 3/1 on offer at McBookie for an assist.

Hibs head into the final buoyed by a midweek win over Dundee that ended the Premiership slump which saw Jack Ross lose his job.

With Celtic having so many key men out injured the Hibees will view this as a great chance to make amends for the semi-finals and finals they have lost at Hampden since that glory day back in 2016.

I fancy BTTS at 10/11 with Coral while over 6.5 Celtic corners looks great value at 11/10 with McBookie as that bet has landed in their last seven domestic matches.

Rangers v Dundee Utd

With Postecoglou’s side on cup duty, Rangers have the chance to open up a seven-point lead in the Premiership today.

They host a Dundee United side who beat Gers earlier in the season but the Tangerines have lost their last three and head to Ibrox with a decimated squad.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men are flying so a home win to nil looks the shout at 17/20 with BetVictor while over 2.5 Rangers goals is tempting at evens with Paddy Power.

Dundee v Hearts

There has been little to cheer on the other side of Dundee with James McPake’s side losing three in a row too.

The Dark Blues host Hearts today and both teams to score stands a chance at 28/29 (SBK) after coming up in the last four meetings.

Livingston v Hearts

Ross County are level on points with Dundee and face a tough trip to Livingston. It’s a tricky one to call so I’m backing a one-goal winning margin for either side (5/4, McBookie).

Motherwell v St Johnstone

Rock-bottom St Johnstone head to Motherwell and I like the half-time draw at evens with Unibet.

Super Singles

  • Over 6.5 Celtic corners (11/10, McBookie)
  • Rogic assist (3/1, Paddy Power)
  • Over 2.5 Rangers goals (Evs, Paddy Power)
  • Half-time draw at Motherwell (Evs, Unibet)
