It’s almost day five at Wimbledon already as we look forward to round three on Friday. At the time of writing, rain has stopped play on Thursday so expect delays tomorrow if play can’t resume.
We have now lost British hopefuls Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu who were both knocked out yesterday at the second round stage. Murray looked out of sorts and never really threatened the American who won easily in four sets 3-1.
Emma Raducanu hasn’t looked the same either since winning the US Open and was beaten in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in the woman’s singles by Caroline Garcia.
Our headline tip to win Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic headlines day 5 and will play Miomir Kecmanovic.on Centre Court.
As I’ve already mentioned, Djokovic didn’t drop a single set after giving one up in the first round last year and it could be more of the same this year. I’m going to keep the faith in Djokovic to win this one easily.
I advised Djokovic would take care of Thanasi Kokkinakis quickly on Wednesday and that’s exactly what happened, the Serb won comfortably in straight sets 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. Djokovic now has a feel for the Wimbledon turf after no grass-court preparation and he’s going to take some stopping.
I can only see one-way traffic in this match with Djokovic taking care of matters as quickly as possible so my advice is to take Novak Djokovic to beat Miomir Kecmanovic with under 30.5 games 11/10 Bet365.
