Two weeks in to his return to Chelsea and Frank Lampard must be wondering if he's made the right decision in answering the club's call for help.
Three games, three defeats, taking the club's run without a win to six, and it doesn't get any easier tonight with the visit of 14-time European champions Real Madrid.
The Spaniards dominated proceedings at the Bernabeu last week and Ben Chilwell's sending off with half an hour to go actually made a 2-0 defeat for the Blues feel like a bit of a result on the night.
There's little in Chelsea's form to suggest they can turn this one around and they should really be bigger than 7/1 to qualify. Despite taking the lead they were well beaten by Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and Lampard must be frustrated by the talent at his disposal which just can't seem to click.
Carlo Ancelotti's men don't need to win tonight of course and an early goal for Chelsea could put the cat amongst the pigeons but nobody does this tournament like Real and they should have the wherewithal as well as the quality to get this one over the line.
They're a very tempting 7/5 to win on the night and given Chelsea's horrendous form and ineveitably low morale it could be worth getting involved in that as a bit of a value bet.
Karim Benzema has scored a mammoth 90 goals in the competition and he'll be the main danger once more. The Frenchman is 11/8 to add to his tally tonight.
An intriguing night lies ahead at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona where Napoli must overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit against fellow Italians AC Milan to reach the semi-finals.
The good news for the Serie A champions-elect is the return at the weekend of Victor Osimhen. The country's top scorer made a cameo appearance in Napoli's 0-0 stalemate with Verona in which Luciano Spalletti rested five members of the team that lost in Milan last midweek.
Stefano Pioli went even further, rotating all 10 outfield starters in Milan’s 1-1 draw at Bologna. Interestingly, only two of the Champions League quarter-finalists won at the weekend; Man City & Real Madrid, a clear indication of where the clubs' priorities lie – something perhaps to bear in mind when the semi-finals roll round.
As for tonight's match, Napoli need to find a way to beat AC Milan at home for the first time since 2018. They'll be bouyed by the return of Osimhen and an apparent truce between the Ultras, who have engaged in a silent protest in recent weeks, and the board, just in time to have the place rocking. Spalletti is banking on the home support being the 12th man and although Napoli look like they could be running out of gas this season it's hard to look past the 21/20 on them qualifying or the 7/10 on them winning inside the 90 minutes.

I’m going to try this ninefold acca:
To win: Burnley, Napoli, Portsmouth
Over 1.5 match goals: Salford v Hartlepool, Hamilton v Inverness, Lincoln City v Barnsley
Over 2.5 match goals: Sunderland v Huddersfield, Admira Modling v Kapfenberg, Karagumruk v Umraniyespor
Odds 98.3/1 at hills
At hills meaning🤔
William Hill, just the bookie I use but I suppose you may get better or worse odds elsewhere
Feel like there’s a lot of value in Torquay United away to Chesterfield tonight.
The Gulls have won the last 5 whilst scrapping for survival near the bottom of the National League making them the form team in the division. Chesterfield themselves still have a lot to play for with 3rd place granting them one less play off game but they’ve dropped points at home to the likes of Oldham, Yeovil and York in the last few weeks.
Hills price Torquay up at 13/2. More than happy to take a nibble at that price.
They’re 10/1 on Ladbrokes
Sorry, that’s win btts
i’m going to it! they always score, we always score, so btts looks nailed on! hopefully away win/btts too!

As the preview states about Napoli corners could be the way to go but not too keen on the -3 handicap at that price so 7+ corners looks safer at 10/11
Napoli 7+ team corners 10/11

This new b365 is rubbish
Everytime they make changes it gets worse
Thiink real Madrid look massive to beat a poor Chelsea team, who were well beaten by Brighton, and a manager with no tactics.

Anybody have any information on why Portsmouth are 3-1 to win away against Oxford tonight? Pompey unbeaten in their last 7 up against a side that have admittedly steadied the ship since Manning took over but are winless in their last 15.
